Disney Pocket Guide to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

When you become this complex, don’t be surprised when a sense of calm takes over. The winding road, surrounded by majestic trees and lush vegetation, can only mean one thing: you’ve arrived at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Inspired by the lodges of turn-of-the-century national park, this stunning resort will make you think you’re on vacation in northwestern and not-so-sunny Orlando.

Located in the Magic Kingdom Park Resort area, this resort is a short ferry ride to Magic Kingdom Park or a shuttle bus to Walt Disney World Resort’s free shuttle to all other theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs.

From standard rooms to luxury Disney villas and cabins, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is the perfect resort for a party of two or a party of 12. The standard rooms, which can accommodate two to four adults, have views. standard or incredible views of nature, with fireworks or quiet courtyards.

Disney’s luxury villas include Boulder Village villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. These villas are so amazing that you will definitely want to plan at least one “resort day” to simply enjoy your surroundings. Did we mention they include a full kitchen and a washer and dryer? Perfect for someone, other than you, to possibly cook a tasty dinner for the family.

Some of our favorite restaurants can be found in this resort, such as Whispering Canyon Cafe, Geyser Point Bar & Grill and Roaring Fork. Whispering Canyon Cafe serves American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is a casual restaurant with table service. Roaring Fork also offers breakfasts, lunches, dinners and an evening menu (can you say?), And this fast service establishment also offers mobile orders.

When you enjoy the day at your resort, don’t forget to take a dip in one of the amazing swimming pools. The Copper Creek Springs pool includes a water slide, spa with hot and cold hot tub, and a children’s water play area. The Boulder Ridge Cove Pool offers shaded seating areas and even a zero-depth pool entrance. Breakfast in the sun is an option, but daily activities are also offered at the Copper Creek Springs pool.

Also, be sure to watch movies under the stars, fireworks activities, and keep your eyes open to spot a few known friends who might be palliating at the resort. Here you can also find guided fishing excursions and crafts such as Mickey Tie Dying.

planDisney Type: Be sure to stop by the front desk and ask about scavenger hunts. They often include Mickey’s hidden hunts and (seasonal) patriotic bear hunting.
