The procession loved by candlelight returns on November 26 for the EPCOT International Festival Festival

As part of the Halfway to the Holidays celebration earlier this year, we took a look at some of the magical experiences approaching a spectacular holiday joy season during the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort. Still, that wasn’t all we had in store, and today I’m happy to tell you that the “Candlelight Procession” will return this year, from November 26th to December 30th, as part of the Festival Holiday EPCOT International presented by AdventHealth!

“Candlelight Processional” is an old Disney Parks tradition, dating back to 1958 at Disneyland Park. Walt Disney World guests have enjoyed the annual “Candlelight Processional” since 1971, initially at Magic Kingdom Park and since 1994 at EPCOT. After being sorely missed during last year’s holiday season, this magnificent production will once again adorn the America Gardens Theater with a live orchestra, a cast choir and a celebrity narrator recounting the traditional story of Christmas in a spectacular and comforting way.

Since all of these performers, including cast members, musicians, singers and narrators, will need to be fully vaccinated, this year we don’t plan to host choirs from different groups and schools in the community. Instead, to maintain the grandeur of the performance, we are expanding the cast member’s heart to fill the stage with voices. We are optimistic that the guest choirs can reunite with us next year for this special holiday opportunity.

We didn’t want to wait a minute to tell you this exciting news. Of course, we’re still working on confirming the celebrity narrators ’schedule and details on the“ Processional by Candlelight ”dinner packages, so stay tuned to the Disney Parks blog. We will share all information with you as soon as it is available.
