SeaWorld Aquatic Park in San Diego, a 17-acre water park, recently closed.
Instead, SeaWorld has already begun building a new theme park, which will be a combination of reimagined existing attractions and new ones.
According to Bloloop, SeaWorld San Diego will get its own Sesame Place. There is already a Sesame Street theme park in Philadelphia, as well as a Sesame Place at SeaWorld in Orlando. The new addition to San Diego is scheduled to open in March 2022.
Some of the features of the existing Sesame Place park will come to this new one, including the Super Grover’s Box Car Derby and the Sesame Street Party Parade, which includes some of your favorite furry friends like Elmo, The Cookie Monster and Big Bird.
According to Bloloop, the Aquatica water attractions (11 in total) will remain. They will be made to match the new Sesame Street theme. In addition, the giant wave pool will also retain the new park. Other Sesame Street-themed attractions and attractions will be added.
The park plans to have many interactive elements. For example, children can go up to park houses and ring the doorbell or talk to characters on the phone. There will also be seasonal events at the new Sesame Place park, although details of what they will be have not yet been released. Keep following AllEars for more theme park news.
