Increased resistance to eliminate the virtual queue option at Walt Disney World. – TouringPlans.com blog

Woah! In the news, I certainly didn’t expect to see them. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will no longer offer the virtual queue option starting September 23rd.

The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction, located at Disney Studios Hollywood, will begin using a traditional all-day waiting queue for the first time. (This is because when the attraction opened in 2019, it only offered a virtual queue. Which has remained the only option to date).

For those who have never visited the attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is different from anything Disney has ever created. It’s really like 4 attractions in one with amazing effects, a roadless vehicle, a trip with Kylo Ren and a daring getaway.

Rise of the Resistance has been an incredibly popular attraction since it opened at Disney Studios in Hollywood. The virtual queue has often been filled to capacity in a matter of seconds from opening at 7:00 a.m. and back to availability at 1:00 p.m.

This is not the end of virtual queues. They will be used for the time being at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure when the attraction officially opens on October 1st. In addition, the Walt Disney World Resort may decide to reintroduce the Rise of the Resistance virtual queue at any time.

As you can see, this is a constantly changing process and we will be sure to keep you updated as we learn more details about what to expect with Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
