Disney Springs is the shopping, dining and entertainment hub of Walt Disney World, which includes dozens of bars and restaurants, shops of all kinds, a multiplex movie theater, bowling alleys, a stage show and more. Sounds great, but what do you do if you drive there? What do I need to know?
Is there parking at Disney Springs?
Although you can reach Disney Springs with free transportation, many people choose to drive and there are garages and parking lots.
- Lime Garage: Closer to the Marketplace area
- Orange Garage: Closer to the West Side and downtown
- Grapefruit Garage: Closer to the Marketplace area
- Lemon Lot: Closest to Rainforest Cafe area
- Lot of watermelon: closer to the Cirque du Soleil area
- Strawberry Lot: Closer to the West Side area
Some of these parking areas are HUGE, such as more than 3,000 parking spaces in a huge garage. Do yourself a favor and take a quick photo of your location so you can find the car again at the end of the day.
How much does it cost to park in Disney Springs?
Most parking in Disney Springs is free, which in most cases is different from the location of the theme parks and the night at Disney resorts.
In addition to free parking, parking is available at three locations:
- Near the entrance to the Orange garage from 10:00 to 02:00
- On the West Side, in front of the sun circus, from 16:00 to 02:00
- At the Lemon Lot, near the World of Disney store, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Parking is $ 20 plus free.
Is there a parking area for the disabled?
Yes, each lot or garage has a designated disabled parking area. You must have a valid disability permit to use this space.
Can I charge my electric vehicle at Disney Springs?
Yes. There are three electric vehicle charging stations at the following Disney Springs locations:
- Lime garage: 5th floor
- Orange garage: 5th floor
- Grapefruit garage: 3rd floor
Does it matter what lot I am on?
People in the Orlando area have STRONG opinions about which garage they like best, but for most guests, it really doesn’t matter. If you’re going to explore and shop all over Disney Springs, just park in the first lot you find.
If you have mobility problems and go to a specific location, for example, the AMC movie theater, pay attention to the garage / plot locations above and park in the area closest to your destination.
What do I need to put on my GPS to get to Disney Springs?
You can enter “Disney Springs” on most current GPS systems and it will be close enough for you to park in the first lot you see, but if you need it, the GPS coordinates of Disney Springs are 28.3702539, -81.5209851.
Ever run out of parking at Disney Springs?
While there are many thousands of parking lots, sometimes like holiday weekend nights, they can fill up or be ready enough to make your hair stand on end. The busier the parks (see our crowded calendars for general information on this), the more likely the parking situation is to be difficult. During the busiest times, you’ll probably be happier with Disney’s transportation system if you can.
If it is busy, how do I know if there will be an open slot for my car?
The parking garages are high-tech, with motion sensors in each location. There are signs at the bottom of the street indicating if there are open spaces. And then inside each garage are lights on the ceiling that are red in the occupied slots and green in the open slots. It’s easy to see where they open without having to make a aimless circle.
Can I park overnight at Disney Springs?
No. Hours vary, but batches usually close at 2:00 AM.
Can I park at Disney Springs to avoid the theme park parking fee?
Theoretically it could, but it would not be effective.
Disney Springs lots usually open at 7:00 am and there is no direct transportation to theme parks from Disney Springs. And the bus service from Disney Springs to the resorts starts at 10:30 p.m. This means that to get to a theme park near opening time, you must first walk to the Saratoga Springs Convention Center stop and catch a bus to the parks there. And then repeat the trip back to the car in the evening. For me, that wouldn’t be worth it.
