Several changes have been made and need to be made when it comes to the Walt Disney Company.
We’ve seen reorganizations of some of their departments, a more transmission-focused approach, and more. Recently, Disney also announced a major change for many of its employees in terms of their job location, and now we have an update on the situation.
Earlier this year, we heard about this thousands of Disney employees are destined to be relocated to California in Florida. Disney announced that it would build a new campus for its employees in the Lake Nona area of Orlando. Today, Disney has just taken a big step in making this campus a reality.
He Orlando Business Journal he has reported it a Disney-affiliated entity, Dynamic Campus LLC, has purchased about 60 acres of land in the Lake Nona area for about $ 46 million. The seller of the property was Lake Nona Land Co. LLC, an entity associated with the developer of Lake Nona, Tavistock Development Co.
According to the Orlando Business Journal, “the property is located north of Lake Nona Boulevard, south of State Road 417, west of downtown Lake Nona and east of Medical City Drive.”
Neither Disney nor the seller has yet made any official statement about the purchase. The Orlando Business Journal shares public records the property can support up to 1.8 million square feet of office space in several buildings that are at least 4 stories high. According to the Orlando Business Journal, a building of this size could potentially support 12,000 jobs, but the size of the new offices has not yet been confirmed.
