Three reasons why you should stay at a moderate Walt Disney World resort

Walt Disney World offers three levels of tourist hotels: Value Resorts, Moderate Resorts and Deluxe Resorts. These levels correlate with the price and the number and quality of hotel services. More pleasant and more expensive than Value Resorts, but not on the same level as Deluxe Resorts, the moderate Resorts are in the center.

Moderate resorts at Walt Disney World include Caribbean Beach Resort, Coronado Springs Resort, Port Orleans – Riverside, Port Orleans – French Quarter and Fort Wilderness cabins. If you have been wondering if the moderate level is right for you, we have …

The first thing you’ll notice when comparing value and moderate stations is the quality jump. In general, moderate resorts tend to have a better theme and more spacious rooms with a thoughtful design compared to value resorts. For example, Fort Wilderness cabins feature unique and immersive details that you will only find in this resort.

Another example is the meticulous theme in the French Quarter of Port Orleans. From architecture to food, there are so many things in this resort that will instantly transport you to New Orleans.

The more immersive themes and larger rooms of this standard are more elegant and comfortable than the Value Resorts and, for many guests, it is a great attraction. Quality is shown in these items.

Luxury services without luxury prices

One of the great attractions of moderate resorts is that they offer some luxury amenities without the luxury price. The best example of this is Coronado Springs Resort, especially the new Gran Destino tower. With a spa, two fitness centers and plenty of dining options (including stylish rooftop options), Coronado is the ultimate opportunity for your moderate resort.

While not all resorts offer the same level of amenities as Coronado Springs, they all offer services above the Value level. Port Orleans – French Quarter and – Riverside offer outdoor activities, such as horse-drawn carriage rides and dock fishing. Every moderate place has something special to offer for a “resort day”.

Most moderate resorts offer more than one form of convenient transportation to parks, which gives them a chance at most Value resorts. Caribbean Beach Resort offers access to the Skyliner through its Skyliner station, which is actually the center of the entire gondola system.

Fort Wilderness cabins offer a boat to Magic Kingdom and Port Orleans – French Quarter and – Riverside offer water taxi from Sassagoula to Disney Springs.

All moderate resorts offer Disney bus transportation and the only moderate one that does not offer a second transportation option is Coronado Springs Resort. So, you will get a lot of amenities in this resort, but you will go on a bus whenever you need to travel by Disney transport.

Moderate resorts have much to offer guests able or willing to spend a little more for their stay at Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, we love to call moderates in our home away from home.
