As we get closer and closer to the 50th anniversary of Disney World, we return to entertainment and experiences in parks and beyond. And, one of the features that will return are the various dinners and desserts.
Since many guests are big fans of watching fireworks and eating dessert while they do so, Disney World now has the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise as part of a special evening! Guests taking part in the cruise will board one of the ferries Transport center and tickets before navigating the Lagoon of the seven seas to see the fireworks of the Magic Kingdom!
Although, while the specialty cruise offers a unique insight into Magic Kingdom and many sweets, it also includes a high price tag. So, is it worth it for your party? Well, we are breaking down that you may or may not want to book a reservation on board the next sailing.
Why is the Ferrytale Fireworks dessert cruise worthwhile?
Included as a package of dining experience, guests can enjoy as many chopped-sized delicacies as they wish while browsing. This means that there are self-created mice, lime cakes, cupcakes and more to satisfy your sweets during the program.
Plus, everyone gets a cookie when they disembark the shuttle once the fireworks have concluded as an extra magical “thank you” from Disney.
Special drinks are also part of the dining experience with options for guests of all ages, including non-alcoholics. Punch Fireworks and Liquid Fireworks …
… in addition to wine, beer and BLUE champagne! Only alcoholic beverages can raise the price of dining experiences alone at Disney World, sometimes drinks reach $ 20. So if you’re an adult looking for a unique evening in the parks, the overall price of Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise may be worth it for you when it comes to drinks.
However, the dessert cruise is NOT EVERYTHING about food. Additional entertainment is available on board, as the cruise embarks 50 minutes before the pyrotechnic shows scheduled at the Magic Kingdom. Guests can also take part in a scavenger hunt themed around the ferry. And they can even use special Mickey Goggles to detect Hidden Mickeys in the air during the show.
While you may have your own favorite place in the Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks, the ferry is a really special observation area, away from the crowds. Since the boat sails before the 20-minute fireworks show, guests have more than an hour to take full advantage of all that the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise has to offer. And you won’t have to fight the crowd or sit on Main Street hours early to get a great spot.
So, if you’re really looking for a great dining experience and a more intimate atmosphere, you may want to place Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise at the top of your to-do list.
Why the Ferrytale Fireworks dessert cruise isn’t worth it:
Despite all the perks, the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise is definitely the most expensive side of dining experiences at Disney World. For just over an hour of entertainment, the cost is $ 99 per adult and $ 69 per child. If you’re traveling with a larger party or with very young children, you may want to turn off the experience to budget for your trip. While it may not be right for your family, it might be a better option for individual adults looking for a unique date.
Perhaps the biggest drawback of the price tag is that you don’t get a detailed view of Cinderella Castle’s projection work. Now that Disney Enchantment arrives in the Magic Kingdom for its 50th anniversary, you could miss the best parts of the heavy screening show on Main Street, USA
There are a limited number of seats on board the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise, so you’ll want to make reservations before your visit, available on the Walt Disney World website. Unlike the chance to enter the Magic Kingdom during the night of the show, the dessert cruise requires a little more planning. Reservations can be made the same day until 5pm, but you are less likely to catch them compared to pre-booking. However, if the Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise sounds in your alley, it is definitely a unique experience to enjoy during your upcoming Disney World vacation.
