5 Great Walt Disney World Pools for Preschoolers: TouringPlans.com Blog

All Walt Disney World hotels have swimming pools for the whole family. However, there are some resorts with swimming pools or water play areas that are especially appealing to people with preschoolers. Here is a tour.

Art of animation

The Art of Animation is a Disney World value complex, with many of its rooms classified as “family suites” for up to six people. This makes it a popular choice for young families with younger children. The pool area is perfectly adapted to your needs, with zero entrance access, a ski area and a playground in the same complex.

French Quarter of Port Orleans

Port Orleans French Quarter is a moderate-level Disney World resort with a New Orleans theme. The slide here is small enough to be fun and accessible for a four-year-old. The vivid colors make it particularly cozy.

Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village

The Kidani Village area at Animal Kingdom Lodge offers chalet-style rooms with kitchenette or kitchen. This, combined with the display of animals on site, make this resort a haven for people with young children. There is a zero-entry pool and a great water play area.

Grand Florida

The Grand Floridian may seem frowning, but there are water features for everyone, even for young children. There are two large swimming pools (one with zero access) and a fantastic Alice in Wonderland-themed water play area.

Yacht club and beach

The Yacht and Beach Club complexes share a giant pool complex called Stormalong Bay. In addition to a slide the right size for preschoolers, an entire section of the pool area is about a foot deep with a real sandy bottom. This is the perfect place to learn the art of building sandcastles without the fear of a wave knocking down your creation.

One more thing

All Disney World hotel pools have small life jackets available to borrow for free. Of course, parental supervision by the pool is always necessary, but this can provide you with an extra level of comfort.
