Here at DFB, we attend Disney quite often, so we usually notice when things are missing in the parks.
Whether it’s an animatronic, a piece of walking or an out-of-place sign, we tend to know when things aren’t right in the parks. But today, something important was missing on a trip to the Magic Kingdom and it was pretty obvious.
If you’ve ever been to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Tomorrowland, you’ve definitely seen the animatronic Buzz greeting guests in line. It is a basic element of attraction.
But today, when we passed by, it was no longer there. There was only a giant black curtain with the Star Command logo where it used to be.

If you were hoping to take a picture with Buzz today, we hate being the bearers of bad news. The cast members we spoke to during the trip weren’t sure why he had left, but we’ll keep checking to see if he’ll be back soon. In the past, we’ve seen animatronics missing from other Disney World attractions, and they’re usually routine maintenance.
Stay tuned to DFB for the latest news and developments on everything at Disney World.
