We’re just days away from the start of Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
October 1st will be a great day full of new fireworks shows, a new daytime show, a new cavalcade and more. One of the things that will open on October 1st is Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. The journey will use a virtual queue and we now have more details about the process.
We’ve already shared some details about the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure virtual queue process, but now we’ve shared more information and seen some virtual queue details in the My Disney Experience app.
To mount Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, guests will need to join a virtual queue. You’ll find the link to join the virtual queue in the My Disney Experience app.
Select “Join the virtual queue”, then select again to join the virtual queue.
You will then be directed to a page showing the virtual queue options for EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In the EPCOT band, you’ll see a section for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
As specified in the app, the virtual route queue will be available from October 1, the date the route opens.
If you have a valid theme park ticket and Park Pass reservation for EPCOT, you can access the system using the My Disney Experience app and try to join the virtual queue from 7:00 on the day of your Park Pass reservation. You can join the queue at that 7 a.m. slot before you get to the EPCOT (also known, you can join from outside the park).
If you are unable to join the virtual queue in the morning, you can try to rejoin the virtual queue at 1:00 PM AFTER you have entered EPCOT. This means that if you want to join the virtual queue at 13:00, you have already entered EPCOT.
Disney has specified that you must be in EPCOT to access this second virtual queue. All guests in your group who want to join the virtual queue must also be in EPCOT.
Please note that you will generally not be able to park at EPCOT and join the virtual queue, as the park jump does not start until 14:00. If you want to join the virtual queue at 7 a.m. or 1 p.m., you’ll need to visit EPCOT as your first park (don’t go there later in the afternoon). We expect the virtual queue seats to fill up well before 2pm in the park (usually filled in seconds for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance).
But, we’ll notice that we rarely saw the Rise of the Resistance virtual queuing system stay open a little longer due to lower people levels, so it never hurts to check out the virtual queuing process when you get to EPCOT. However, you shouldn’t go to this park and wait to have a chance to join the virtual queue.
Earlier today, Disney shared some tips with travel agents on how to get a place for the virtual queue. The day before your visit to EPCOT, you wish you had done the following:
- Make sure you have a My Disney Experience account
- Download the My Disney Experience app and make sure you have the latest updates / latest version
- Link your park tickets to your My Disney Experience account
- Make a valid Park Pass reservation for EPCOT for the day you want to ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Interestingly, in his message to travel agencies Disney suggested that only 1 guest per traveling group attempt to join the virtual queue. Disney stated this several guests and devices attempting to join the virtual queue of the same group can complicate the process.
Please note that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will also be available via one of Disney’s upcoming FastPass payment systems. Specifically, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be available through the selection of individual attractions, when this system is finally available.
