Earlier today, at our Stream on Livestream event, we announced our vision for the future of audio and set the stage for what we will do for the rest of the year. This is our opportunity to share a preview of the new features and programs created for more than one million artists and their teams each month. And, of course, we share the stage with an amazing community of artists and podcasters who share their work with the world on Spotify.

If you just want highlights, we’ve compiled a list of the most important announcements for artists and labels from the following events:
1. Hello, world!
We are bringing Spotify to more than 80 new markets in over 36 new languages, so it will be easier than ever to reach a global audience and develop your fans no matter where they are. Billions of people across Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe and Latin America, about half of whom are already using the Internet. We’ll see audiences in these new countries reflect on your Spotify for Artist dashboard as we launch throughout the year.
2. Speak your language
Spotify for Artists is already an important platform for artists around the world and the label for creating their fanbase, and we’re going to make it even easier by launching 25 new languages by the end of the year. This means more artist teams will be able to access Spotify for artists in their local language, so they can take more control over their success on Spotify.
3. Marquee expansion
Marquee is the best way to get your new release to the right audience and activate your fanbase. Global superstars and independent artists alike have made Marquee an important part of their release strategy, so we’re expanding the beta to more artist teams outside the U.S. and Canada. Soon, artists from the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand will be able to book marks through their local Spotify team. And in the U.S., we’ll be launching a self-serving platform so teams can book campaigns and see live results on Spotify for artists. 4. Discover Discovery mode
Labels participating in our preliminary tests are producing real results for their artists. By choosing tracks they want to prioritize Spotify’s algorithmic recommendations, they are running additional streaming, reaching new audiences and earning more from Spotify. At the event, we highlighted its success ODI, A budding artist who took part in the pilot. This year, we’ll share more artist success stories from our pilots, and we’ll open Discovery Mode until more labels after 2021.
5. A canvas for everyone
Today, we announced that all artists can now participate in the future of the album industry by adding a canvas to any track in their catalog via Spotify for Artists. These short looping visuals are a hit with fans and they make listeners more likely to save your tracks or share them on social media. At the event, Halsey shared how he uses the canvas – now all the artists in the world can do the same:
6. Upgrade our radar
Radar, our global emerging artist program, is growing. Since we launched the program last year, we have promoted 175 up-and-coming artists from around the world সম্পাদক providing editorial and marketing support to these artists at a crucial moment in their careers. This year, we’ll be shining a spotlight on more up-and-coming blacksmiths, featuring them in Spotify’s editorial playlists and supporting their growth in their local markets and globally.
7. Clips put artists in the spotlight
Upgrading playlist. We’re introducing new ways for artists to use selected playlists to share their stories and connect with fans. Spotify clips will debut in more Spotify playlists, featuring artists in short videos that allow them to put their personal stamp on the playlist experience.
8. Say HiFi to Hi
We are giving premium customers the ability to upgrade their sound quality, delivering music in CD-quality, void audio in selected markets later this year. Your fans will have the opportunity to hear every detail of your track the way you want them to.
