Our park team meets weekly at Disney theme parks recording waiting times, tasting food, immersing themselves in the atmosphere and looking for any changes that may affect your vacation. These are the changes that have stood out to us this week.
Cast member plate
A new plaque has been dedicated to Walt Disney World in honor of the 50th to celebrate cast members. The plaque was dedicated on September 15, 2021.
Scavenger hunts at Disney Resorts
At the Walt Disney World resorts, there is an amusement scavenger hunt. Grab your card at any resort and then look for the signs of attraction tickets hidden around the resort’s hotels.
Opening of the space 220
The long-awaited Space 220 restaurant at the EPCOT was inaugurated this week. This restaurant offers incredible views around the Earth and dining in a universe of tasty food. You can read our full review here.
50th Anniversary Skyliner Wraps
Look at the sky: the Skyliner has some gondolas with special 50th anniversary wrappers.
The rise in resistance goes into standby mode only
Move over boarding groups, Rise of the Resistance has now switched to a waiting line system. Wait times have been quite reasonable for a headliner attraction, although the lines looked impressive on opening day.
The roller coaster of rock ‘n’ mountains gets hummed
The giant guitar at the front of the Rock ‘n’ roller coaster has been covered in tarpaulins. While it has been known that there were rumors going around this way, we are sure there are no new topics. Just a glam up.
That’s all for this week. Which detail makes you most excited? Let us know in the comments.
