But what about Disney World hotels? The place you stay is an important part of your vacation, so we like to keep up to date with what’s happening at Disney World hotels. Let’s take a look at some food, merchandise, and construction updates we’ve seen recently.

Disney World Hotel Food Update
Disney’s Beach Club Resort food update
At Disney’s Beach Club Resort, we found it a Mickey Fall cupcake!
The cupcake is a vanilla cake, topped with orange butter cream, fall designs and Mickey ears! It was at the Beach Club Marketplace, in the refrigerated section.
You can already get it for $ 5.99.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
At the Grand Floridian, we realized that the the self-service bakery box reopened for guest use.
Now you can grab pastries, Disney cakes and more.
Disney World Hotel product update
Merchandise upgrade from Grand Floridian Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
If you are staying at a Disney World hotel, ask at reception the new scavenger hunt from Magic Kingdom Attractions, which hit resorts for the 50th anniversary of Disney World.
We tried scavenger hunting at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. It looks like you can complete the entire search in one resort, as we found the same clues in both hotels.
Follow the clues to find signs of Disney attraction at the hotel and solve the puzzle at the end.
Also at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, there are 50th anniversary displays outside of Curiouser Clothiers.
It’s just in time for the GREAT celebration kicking off later this week.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
If you are looking for it Disney Pride Pins, are already in stock at Fantasia at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
In case you missed it, Disney released an adorable one Alice in Wonderland collection with some seriously beautiful merchandise! At Bay View Gifts, we saw a bag we hadn’t seen before Alice in Wonderland.
The bag features butterflies and a padded pattern and is based on the work of legendary Disney artist Mary Blair.
Disney World Hotel Construction Update
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Construction
As we wandered around Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, we saw some constructions around the Lion King buildings.
The cast members were retouching the paint from the buildings, keeping the colors nice and bright.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
In the contemporary resort, foam is descending to the upper levels of the resort, revealing the refurbished hotel.
Not only did the interior of the complex collapse, but the new lobby also opened with a sleek, modern look. The new look features a Mary Blair-inspired mural and mid-century modern-style furniture with a futuristic twist.
In addition, Steakhouse 71, the new restaurant that will replace Ona, is set to open on October 1st. The building walls that had surrounded the restaurant entrance have been demolished.
There are also new tables in Contemporary Grounds, the location of the Joffrey in the resort!
Overall, Disney’s Contemporary is almost finished with its major makeover.
Disney’s great Florida
If you look down at Disney’s Grand Floridian, you’ll notice NEW 50th anniversary floor mats.
There is also a new chocolate sculpture for the Halloween season with the mice Cinderella.
There’s also a gorgeous white chocolate rendition of Cinderella’s glass shoe.
