Disney’s magic makers are honored by the mission to fight pediatric cancer

“Anything can really be done to raise money for cancer. Anything in the world. Just do something. So try it! ”This was Walker Beery’s (9-year-old) message to children across the country, bringing them together to get involved in the fight against pediatric cancer – a fight Walker knew all too well. Based on her son’s struggle and spirit, our upcoming Disney Magic Makers have dedicated their lives to raising awareness and funding pediatric cancer research after Walker was diagnosed in 2017. Instead of letting the disease consume your life, this amazing family you are about to reunite brought together children and communities from across the country through bakery sales, fun races, bracelet sales and lemonade stands to raise money. fund and spread awareness about the cause. In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, meet Taylor and Angel Beery.

Walker Beery’s strength and history have inspired a community and children across the country. Born in New Orleans, Walker loved sports, Mardi Gras and his friends and family eager to live. At the age of seven he was unexpectedly diagnosed with brain cancer and was transmitted in September 2021. While in the hospital for treatment, Walker told his parents that he wanted to inspire other children to help fight pediatric cancer. The group “Kids Join The Fight” was born from this act of kindness and started a popular movement of children and families from all over the country. Fun courts, lemonades, bracelet sales and football clinics have appeared in all 50 states this year with more than $ 400,000 (with a goal of at least $ 1,000,000 by the end of the year) and critical awareness for pediatric cancer research.
