Introducing our Civic Engagement Toolkit for Artists – Spotify for Artists

No one knows the value of what an artist sounds like. Every time an listener streams a song to you they are picking you up and what you have created. If you want to hear, you have to accept. Has the ability to hear.

This fall, Americans will have the opportunity to hear our voices by voting in the most important election of our lives. Campaigns and nonprofits are already working to get votes and you, the artist, can help inspire your fans to take part in the process as well.

It’s not about voting in red or blue or otherwise – it’s about voting, about duration. And since it can be confusing who, what, when and how to vote in the Covid-1 world can be confusing, we want to help you determine how to get the word out to your audience.

Spotify has partnered with HeadCount, Ballot Ready and TurboVote, a top-notch non-partisan organization to launch Play-Your-Part, an initiative for creators to make their viewers aware of the importance of civic engagement. We’re providing you with the information and tools you need to spread the message to your fans that voting is a must.

“It’s important [for us] We need to encourage our fanbases to register to vote because more than a third of eligible voters are under the age of 40, “said the indie rock trio. Sunflower beans. “We will use our platform to remind people to register to vote, verify their registration status and plan a voting.”

We want to help artists talk to their fans about voting. In our useful Civic Engagement Toolkit, you’ll find resources that will help you answer state-specific questions such as “When is the voter registration deadline?”, “How do I vote by mail?” And more. The toolkit will equip you with effective Call to Action and PSA examples to talk to fans about civic welfare.

As an artist, you have a platform and the attention of the audience that believes in you and what you do. Why not use that power to empower them? “I want to remind fans that they should immediately sever ties with their partners who do not register to vote,” says the singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Sadie Dupuis aka Sad 13. Nothing is as romantic as the “I Voted” sticker. “
