As we prepare to kick off the 50th anniversary celebrations at Disney World, we can’t wait for the fantastic entertainment in store.
However, in order to create ways to do new shows, we need to adopt our old favorites. When Happily Ever After leaves Magic Kingdom, we’ll also have to say goodbye to EPCOT Forever to make way for Harmonious.
Tonight, EPCOT Forever will have its final performance at 9pm at World Showcase Lagoon. If you want to make last-minute plans to attend, then good news: as of publication, Disney Park Pass reservations are still available for the night for guests at the resort, guests with regular tickets, and the holders of annual passes.
The temporary show premiered on October 1, 2019 after Illuminations finished their career. EPCOT Forever was only to last until the arrival of Harmonious, which will have its first performance tomorrow night, September 29th.
Although EPCOT Forever has been around for almost two years, it has had an unusual career. The spectacular fireworks normally ran for about five and a half months until the pandemic hit March 2020 and closed the parks. It didn’t return until July 1, 2021, when Happily Ever After also reopened in Magic Kingdom. Since then, the performances have been a slightly altered version of the original, without the bright stars that used to fly around the lagoon during the slower parts of the music.
So if you’re a big fan of the show, be sure to stop by tonight and watch it one last time. We’ll be sure to take a full look at Harmonious when it premieres tomorrow night, so stay tuned to AllEars.
