We’ve already been to most booths at the 2021 EPCOT Wine and Food Festival, but some of them haven’t opened until today.
Although several of the booths would open on October 1, a lot of them opened soon. But there was still a couple we had to wait for, including an old favorite: the Belgium stand.
We can’t wait to try all the food here!
The Belgium stand is serving a savory dish – Beef cooked with beer, along with two options for waffles – Because the waffles.
There are also several options for drinks, such as Chilled coffee (with Godiva chocolate liqueur) for $ 11, St. Bernardus Witbier, Belgian Abbey Ale, Delirium red fruit beer, Chimay Dorée Gold, ia Beer flight. The drinks are all $ 5 for 6 oz or $ 9 for 12 oz, or you can get the flight by $ 9.75.

Let’s start eating!

It is now important to note that most food at the Belgium stand returns items, including the Beef cooked with beer served with smoked Gouda mashed potatoes per $ 5.75.
We thought this dish was really tasty – The potatoes were delicious and tasted real (not like a mashed potatoes, you know?). He the flavors were strong and pungent, and it was very salty. If you don’t like a lot of salt in your food, it may be a jump for you, but we love salt, so we’ve been happy. We will say it the meat felt VERY finished, and we had to chew it forever to eat it. But the flavors, especially in the sauce and potatoes, were delicious.
We also revisited the Belgian waffle with warm chocolate ganache per $ 4.50. In the past, we found that the consistency of chocolate ganache varied, sometimes it looked more like a thin syrup.
This year, the chocolate ganache tasted like a normal chocolate syrup for us, and the cream was pretty basic and super sweet. We believe this is so a good idea for small children or demanding dining rooms, as it is only a waffle covered in cream and chocolate, however not worth the money for adults who want a unique snack.
He Belgian waffle with berry compote and whipped cream per $ 4.50 it is usually a success with us. We love how the acidity of the berry compote combines with the sweetness of the waffle.
However, this time it seemed to us the waffle just drowned too much jam. The berry compote is probably an elegant sauce that pastry chefs would know, but it looked like a normal jam (and we’re sure it will for anyone other than a chef). Overall, it’s also good for picky eateries, but it’s probably not worth your money if you want a fun, unique treat.
If you don’t want to spend money on the Berry Waffle, do it at home.
Many of the drinks here return, including the St. Bernardus Witbier, Delirium red fruit beer, cold coffee with Godiva chocolate liqueur, and the Beer flight. We are testing the flight, which includes tastes of the St. Bernardus Witbier, Belgian Abbey Ale, i Delirium red fruit beer.
Our favorite of the beer flight was the Delirium red fruit beer, which we found really tasty and fruity. The cast member told us it was the best too, so if you don’t believe the word, listen to it.

Generally, this stand was a bit disappointing. We’ve enjoyed the same dishes more in the past, though they fell a little flat for us this year. Waffles are a good choice for kids, but it’s not recommended to spend money on them, as there are many other delicious snacks and delights around this festival. So unless you’re dying of waffle at EPCOT, check out some of the other booths around.
