Together We Are Magic! Come celebrate it with delicious food and drinks at Walt Disney World


Now, until October 15, come celebrate “Together we are magic” at the Walt Disney World Resort, where along with other special offers to honor the Hispanic heritage of Latinx, you can enjoy your favorite Latin-inspired dishes on our menus .

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Latinx Hispanic Heritage Month with family and friends than with food. This popular cuisine uses unique herbs and condiments (fresh and dried) during the cooking process and as colorful garnishes to create layers of delicious flavors. And with many dishes, a little fresh lime perfectly balances the richness of the spice and provides an acidic shine. And desserts? Whether creamy or crunchy, Latin-inspired desserts are deliciously decadent, something for all sweet tooths.

I’ve put together some of my favorite dishes to add to your list; they are all fantastic. And be sure to check out all the festive ways to celebrate Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month at the Walt Disney World Resort here.

A Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Tiffins offers food inspired by Imagineers’ travels to Oaxaca, Mexico. As elsewhere, Oaxacans cook with a global pantry that adopts many regional influences. And fix the street food with the Street Tacos at The Smiling Crocodile.

  • Tiffins: Sweet corn soup with lobster heated with butter, coriander cream, charred corn, pickled jalapeño, cotija and tajin
  • Tiffins: Charred octopus with grilled corn sauce, tequila, black mole, pickles, coriander
  • Tiffins: Tacos: vegetable dye, avocado and vegetable cheese with corn tortilla (vegetable)
  • The smiling crocodile: Street Tacos Corn, Chicken Street Tacos, Pulled Pork Street Tacos (The practice of selling tacos from carts followed Mexican migrants to that country and has spread throughout the southwestern United States and beyond..)

For dishes created by Festival chef Daniel Contreras, he always incorporates his Latin heritage using Latin spices or herbs and fresh produce. “I always think about the ingredients my mom and grandma used to cook for us. I want to show people that traditional Colombian dishes have never been to my country. Showing Latin culture and Latin ingredients is a way to preserve a piece of home here. “

  • Flavors from Fire hosted by The NFL on ESPN, EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival presented by Corkcicle: Chimichurri’s offense: charred chimichurri fillet on a smoked corn cake with pickled vegetable salad and coriander aioli
  • The Swanky Saucy Swine, EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival presented by Corkcicle: Crispy pork ear salad with roasted tomatillo sauce on the fire, pickled red onion, fresh cheese, roasted corn sauce and avocado cream

EPCOT

The famous San Angel Inn Restaurant in the Mexico Pavilion will feature San Pascual’s award-winning chef Federico A. Lopez and his menu featuring Mexican regional food from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31. They also offer these tasty dishes:

  • Margarita’s hut: Elote: sweet corn on the cob fried with aioli chipotle, cotija cheese and tajin lime powder and chili
  • Margarita’s hut: Tacos de Cochinita: tender pork pulled with citrus served in corn omelettes with pickled red onion and mango habanero flavor with a side of corn splinters
  • Sant Angel Inn Restaurant and La Hacienda de Sant Angel: Pescado a la Veracruzana: red potato on potatoes with cilantro-lime vinaigrette made with capers, olives, peppers, Spanish onion and tomato
  • Sant Angel Inn Restaurant and La Hacienda de Sant Angel: Viva Mexico Margarita (This margarita specialty of limited time in honor of the National Independence Day of Mexico (16/09/21) and inspired by the famous Chiles en Nogada.)

Featured visit food truck, Cilantro Urban Eatery at Disney Springs celebrates Latin Street Food by offering Venezuelan, Puerto Rican, Mexican and American infused cuisine, such as burritos, rice dishes, urban tacos, salads and quesadillas.

Also in Disney Springs, Jaleo by José Andrés (with its extensive menu of tapas and authentic paellas) and Frontera Cocina (contemporary Mexican cuisine) offer fabulous daily menus. And members of the culinary cast Alex’s Cabrera, Jose Rodriguez and Oscar Prieto created delicious items at their locations in honor of their heritage.

  • Amorette pastry shop: Alex’s Tres Leches – Three-milk dessert with cherry mousse and vanilla gauze with Irish cream liqueur (Alex’s roots and family reunions that grew up in Puerto Rico inspired this dessert.)
  • D-Luxe Burger: Jose’s Triplet Burger: A deluxe signature burger with ham, pork belly, french fries, lettuce, tomato and tomato sauce aioli. (This burger is a combination of Jose de Puerto Rico’s favorite flavors.)
  • Hangar by Jock Lindsey: Oscar’s Tostones: marinated prawns, stretched chicken and banana sauces (Oscar was inspired by his mother’s favorite cooking styles and snacks.)

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

  • Fairfax Fee: Colombian Hot Dog: hot quarter-pound veal puppy with cabbage meat, garlic-cilantro, mayonnaise sauce on a brioche butter bread served with pickled vegetables

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

  • Centertown Market: Fish tacos topped with pickled vegetable slaw, coriander lemon cream, cottage cheese and a side of rooster beak with a lime served with another side
three Bridges Bar and Grill in Villa del Largo churros and tacos

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

  • Three Bridges Bar and Grill in Villa del Largo: Pork tacos with crispy slaw, green sauce, cottage cheese and marinated fruit
  • Three Bridges Bar and Grill in Villa del Largo: Three Milks with compressed pineapple and marshmallow
  • Three Bridges Bar and Grill in Villa del Largo: Churros with spelled sugar and chocolate sauce (You know churros were introduced to Mexico by Spanish explorers around the 1500s during the Spanish Inquisition? They were adopted by Aztecs, Mayans and other local tribes.)

Disney’s Old Key West Resort

  • Olivia’s Cafe: Old pork clothes with coriander rice, black and ripe beans (available until October 15th)

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort

  • The Paddock: Prawn tacos with crispy slaw, green sauce, cottage cheese and marinated fruit
