Disney To wish is the newest ship on the Disney Cruise Line, and launches on its maiden voyage next June.
He To wish it looks like it will be one of the most exciting and luxurious boats, with Disney’s first attraction at sea, new dining experiences and some very stylish rooms. We just got MORE information about new experiences on board that are just for kids.
Disney previously announced that there will be an Oceaneer Club on board, where kids will be able to hang out with superheroes, princesses and imaginators. There are activities in each area related to the topic, such as training with Ant-Man and The Wasp to develop Pym particles …
… helping the Black Panther defeat the Taskmaster while the villain plans to hack the Superhero Academy system and steal advanced hero technology …
… go scavenger hunting with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider …
… inventing new stories with Belle and depicting scenes from Frozen with Anna, Elsa and Olaf. But there are two NEW spaces we just learned. The first is the Star Wars: Cargo Bay, where children will go to help care for the creatures of a very, very distant galaxy. They transport creatures like a porg, Loth-cat, worrt and more to Batuu and need caregivers to help you on the journey.
Kids will use “augmented reality-enabled datapads” to learn about the creatures, and Chewbacca and Rey can show up to help you. Disney has said some things could be “twisted” and kids will have to ask Star Wars characters to help and even use force.
The second new experience is the Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck. This area is designed for young children, as a nautical-themed playground with all kinds of “sensory-style games and activities.” Children staying at It’s a Small World nursery school will also be able to use this space at certain times.
Minnie’s Captain Academy is a training session where children can experience a set of high-energy educational challenges. Disney says “Captain Minnie will inspect their progress and officially declare them honorary captains.”
For older children (teens and teenagers), Edge and Vibe clubs are available as meeting places, with space for play and games.
