Exciting details about Disney Wish are told and today we take a look at the Oceaneer Club, which is a fantastic space aboard the Disney Cruise Line boats for the kids on board. They are immersive and imaginative places that make them fun stories of characters they know and love. These kids clubs will be transformed into living worlds through a magical entertainment presented courtesy of the help of Disney-trained advisors.
So what will the experience be like? Children ages 3 to 12 will not only be able to enter the previously announced spaces, which include Marvel Super Hero Academy, a high-tech facility to train the next generation of heroes; Fairytale Hall, a real trio of activity rooms inspired by friends of Rapunzel, Belle and “Frozen”; and the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, a unique opportunity for children to discover the secrets of world-renowned Disney Imagineers. But there are two additional places you can visit: Star Wars: Cargo Bay and Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck.
So what will these areas look like? Let’s dive in:
Star Wars: Cargo Bay
Guests will see some of the legendary characters from the Star Wars galaxy in Star Wars: Cargo Bay. This first immersive experience of its kind will allow guests to be manipulators of creatures as they learn to manage these exotic beings, including a porg, a cat, a worrt, and more. Throughout the cruise, they will use augmented reality-enabled datapads to track and study the creatures on a number of special tasks. In addition, there will also be another important mission: to deliver a pair of secret clandestines, Rey and Chewbacca, back to the Resistance.
During the interactive “Star Wars: Creature Challenge” experience, newly minted caregivers will be tested. When things go awry, they will have to call Rey and Chewbacca (and even channel the Force) to protect the ship from destruction.
Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck
Specially designed for younger sailors at Disney’s Oceaneer Club, Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck is a waterfront yard inspired by the colors, icons and magic of Disney Cruise Line. This new space will be filled with games and activities of physical and sensory style with a maritime theme. These include things like pipe slides and trackers, boat wheels, “busy boxes,” designed as boat controls, and cozy, life-saving seating areas.
The little ones will enjoy quality play time with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse themselves. At some point during the trip, the space will be open to the families of the little ones to play in groups and the young children from It’s a Small World Nursery will also have dedicated access to the club to play with Mickey and Minnie.
The signing experience here will be “Minnie’s Captain Academy”. This will be a training session with a lot of energy so that children can exercise their body (through playful games, dances and maritime “exercises”) and their mind, testing their imagination and ingenuity during a series of challenges related to STEAM principles (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics). Captain Minnie will inspect their progress and declare them honorary captains.
Marvel Super Hero Academy
At the Marvel Super Hero Academy, the little ones will join a hands-on training session with Ant-Man and The Wasp, who will teach them how to create and test their own Pym Particles, the technology that allows these heroes to reduce and make objects grow. (and themselves). Also at the Marvel Super Hero Academy, kids will team up with the brains of Pym Technologies and Wakandan Design Group, including a special Black Panther appearance, to thwart Taskmaster’s evil plan to break into the academy system and steal the most advanced hero technology in the world.
When Disney’s Oceaneer Club Center is transformed into Snuggly Duckling Tavern, the kids will have a great day with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. There will be a fun scavenger hunt to retrieve the missing pieces from the Snuggly Duck poster. Then, in Belle’s library, the kids will use their imagination to create the most fantastic new story for their favorite book lover. Belle will lend her wit and her magic mirror to help determine the characters, plot, and conclusion of the brand new tale. Finally, at Anna and Elsa’s Sommerhus, the children join in a special celebration of Queen Anna’s recent coronation by interpreting the story of how she became queen, taking on the roles and iconic moments of the film characters like Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, Hans and more.
