Just announced: Disney Cruise Line returns to favorite tropical destinations in the Bahamas, Caribbean and Mexico in early 2023


It’s never too early to plan your next family vacation, right? In early 2023, Disney Cruise Line will provide your family with many opportunities to change winter jackets into swimsuits with a series of sun-kissed itineraries that will sail coast to coast.

In addition to the Bahamas ’major tropical destinations, including Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line will offer unique vacation to the Caribbean Sea and the Mexican Riviera from U.S. ports of origin, including Miami and Puerto Rico. Canaveral, Florida; New Orleans; Galveston, Texas; and San Diego.

Holidays in the Bahamas and the Caribbean from Florida

Disney Cruise Line will create even more fun in the sun than ever before with a series of departures from Sunshine State in early 2023, visiting tropical destinations in the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Two ships will sail from Port Canaveral near Orlando, Florida, and a third ship will depart from Miami. Each cruise from Florida includes a visit to Disney Island’s private Castaway Cay oasis.

Leaving Port Canaveral, Disney Wish will be out in 2023 with three- and four-night trips to Nassau, the Bahamas and Castaway Cay. Cruises aboard Disney’s new ship combine entertainment and narration of charming charms, with unparalleled service and magical moments that guests love sailing with Disney.

Also from Port Canaveral, Disney Fantasy will begin the year with seven-night cruises to various favorite destinations in the eastern and western Caribbean. In addition, a unique eight-night sailing includes two days in beautiful Bermuda, where your family can soak up the sun on the island’s pristine pink sand beaches, enjoy sporty water sports or explore the spectacular underground caves of Crystal of the island.

From Miami, Disney Dream will embark on an assortment of four- and five-night cruises to places like Grand Cayman, Nassau, Castaway Cay and Cozumel, Mexico. There is a special five-night cruise that includes two stops at Castaway Cay.

Tropical getaways from Texas and New Orleans

In January and February, Disney Magic will depart from Galveston, Texas, on several four-, five-, six- and seven-night itineraries to the Western Caribbean. Tropical ports of call in these voyages include Grand Cayman, as well as Cozumel and Progreso, Mexico.

In February and March, Disney Magic “descends the Bayou” for the first time during a debut season in New Orleans. Starting from the heart of The Big Easy, along the mighty Mississippi River, the four-, five- and six-night crossings will stop at the tropical destinations of Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

Before or after your Disney cruise, your family can venture to Crescent City to savor the different flavors of New Orleans ’famous cuisine, enjoy the sweet melodies of world-renowned jazz music, and recognize the sights and the iconic sounds that inspired the beloved animated film. “The Princess and the Frog.”

All Disney Magic trips in early 2023 include two or three days at sea to enjoy unlimited fun, entertainment, relaxation and memories on board.

Getaways to the Lower Peninsula from San Diego

Disney Wonder will return to the West Coast, sailing from San Diego in April and May. Cruises to Baja, Mexico and the Mexican Riviera will transport guests to sunny shores full of vibrant culture, bright sandy beaches, active outdoor adventures and exciting water activities.

Crossings from San Diego will range from three to seven nights. Some crossings to the Baixa peninsula will take you through the charming coastal town of Ensenada, known for its turquoise blue waters and rugged mountainous terrain. Many outings will include a visit to Cabo San Lucas, a favorite destination with spectacular rock formations and white sandy beaches.

The seven-night itineraries will sail to Mazatlán, the “Pearl of the Pacific”, full of stunning natural wonders, thriving culture and colorful history, and to Puerto Vallarta, the beautiful getaway to the sea along the curve of the bay of Flags and bordered by the stunning mountains of Sierra Madre.
