Eight things at Walt Disney World that are still free

With the announcement of the services of Disney Genie + and Individual Lightning Lane Attractions Selections coming out soon, the harsh reality is clear: the days of free FastPasses are no more.

While many lament this change, there are still several services that are still free at Disney World and today we count them back.

Here are eight things at Walt Disney World that are still free now that FastPass is not.

Transport

First, you can still move from Disney World for free. Services such as the Skyliner, buses and boats are still free at Disney World for all guests.

Transportation can save lives, especially when you need to cool off with air conditioning and return to the resort.

Entertainment

Live entertainment is still free at Disney World parks. Parades, cavalcades, live music, characters and shows continue to be included with your entrance to the park.

Live entertainment is just one of those pieces of magic at Disney parks. While entertainment has not yet returned, those who have returned are still free.

Applications

All apps like My Disney Experience, the free version of Disney Genie and Play Disney Parks are free. These apps, especially My Disney Experience, are important for keeping your trip to Disney World on track.

Things like Mobile Orders, timeouts, and more depend on having these apps, so it’s good that they’re free. Of course, the new Disney Genie service will have two paid aspects within My Disney Experience, but many important features remain free in the app.

Hunting and scavenger games

Disney’s parks and resorts have even more to offer than just attractions, restaurants, services and entertainment. You can also take part in a variety of activities and games, including fun scavenger hunts.

Whether it’s the Wilderness Explorers activity at Animal Kingdom, Finding Dory’s Friends Scavenger Hunt at EPCOT, or a game at your resort, these are a great way to have fun for free with the whole family at Parks and Resorts.

Maps

It may seem like a small thing, but free maps can be a big help. Of course, you can use the map on your phone, but there’s something about having this physical map to fold and fold all day.

Paper maps are also very useful if you are trying to conserve your phone’s battery life. In addition, they have a pleasant nostalgic feel and make invaluable (free!) Memories.

Celebration buttons

This is another one that may seem small, but it can end up being a big problem. Celebration buttons are a way to show what a special occasion you’re celebrating at Disney World.

Whether it’s a birthday, an anniversary, a graduation or just want to celebrate being in the world, these buttons will help you show off your special occasion.

First aid

Free first aid in parks is an important help, especially when an emergency occurs. Whether you need free aspirin or have a cut or brush, first aid centers are a free service in the parks.

First aid is usually located at the front of each park, close to services for guests and is always close to baby care centers (another amazing free service).

Resort events

The fun doesn’t stop at the parks; there is also a lot to do in the resorts. Disney World hotels host a wide range of events throughout the day that are sure to entertain the whole family.

One of the most popular tourist events is Movies Under the Stars. At many Disney World hotels, they will install a large screen outside so everyone can sit back and enjoy a Disney movie.
