Honk, Honk! Exciting news, Disneyland fans. The “road of heaven” is back! Starting tomorrow, Friday, October 15, you will be able to re-assemble the classic Disneyland monorail, as it officially returns to its daily operation as part of the gradual reopening of the Disneyland Resort.
The Disneyland monorail has been a beloved attraction for decades, since it debuted at Disneyland in 1959, more than 60 years ago. At the time, it was the first monorail to operate daily in the Western Hemisphere.
The Disneyland monorail not only serves as a fun transportation experience, but also offers a unique way to see elevated sights around the resort, including panoramic views of Tomorrowland and Fantasyland at Disneyland Park and Buena Vista Street in the park. Disney California Adventure.
For those who may not know, there are two places to get on the Disneyland monorail; one station is in the downtown Disney district and the other in Tomorrowland. If you’re staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels, jumping on the Disneyland monorail is a fun way to avoid the main entrance and go straight to Disneyland Park. If you decide to board from the center of Disney, remember to make sure you have your valid reservation of tickets and theme parks ready, as it will serve as your official ticket to Disneyland Park.
For additional information on the Disneyland monorail, including hours of operation, be sure to check out the Disneyland app or Disneyland.com. And don’t forget: you’ll need to cover your face to mount this attraction, as it’s a closed vehicle. Now, who is ready to get on board and accompany me on a round trip? Welcome back, Disneyland monorail!
