Halloween is coming!
Main Street, USA, is full of pumpkins, the snacks are spooky and the After Hours Boo Bash is underway, so we can’t think of a better time than embrace the spirit with a Disney-inspired Halloween cocktail at home!
Halloween season is one of our favorite times of the year at Disney World, and luckily for us, it’s basically a three month vacation out there!
While we are constantly looking for delicious snacks and new snacks, we also like to bring festive fun home, and what better than mixing some Disney-inspired Halloween drinks!
Sanderson Sisters Potion Drink
Halloween season is Abracadabra seasonand, while we wait for the sequel, we wait our time mixing some witch potions at home.
Shouts to the Disney Parks Blog to share the recipe of the Sanderson Sisters Potion Drink, which luckily does NOT involve spelling children or resurrecting zombies or anything with the finger of a dead finger!
What do you need:
- 1 packet of lime jelly
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 liter of lime and lime soda
- 1/2 quarter lemonade
Dissolve the gelatin in boiling water and wait for it to dissolve completely. Then add cold water. Transfer to a jar and add the lemon soda and lemon juice.
And here it is! Now you can see Abracadabra while taking a style! If you feel naughty, feel free to boil it in a spirit that pairs well with lemon and lime flavors, such as tequila or rum.
Channeling the Greek god of hell feels like a proper Halloween activity … and by that we mean mixing a Hades-approved smoothie!
Disney shared a recipe for the Smoothie Underworld, which is a fantastic “cocktail” if you’re looking to get dirty something healthy and alcohol-free, with two recipes combining into one!
Quiet blue smoothie:
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup frozen blackberries
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup grape, cranberry or blackberry juice
- 1 cup ice
Angry red smoothie:
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup strawberry, blueberry or beet juice
- 1 cup ice
Step 1: Combine all blue smoothie ingredients in a blender and mix until combined. Pour it into a measuring cup with a lip on your side and set aside.
Step two: Combine all red smoothie ingredients in a blender and mix until combined.
Step three: Holding a bowl in each hand, pour half of the two smoothies into one glass at a time, and repeat with a second glass. Enjoy the cold.
If you want to cast a non-alcoholic spell on some friends, organize a Halloween party and serves some evil Mocktails!

Tiki cocktails may not seem innate to Halloween, but they do they are when they are created by an Imagineer who really helped CREATE the enchanted mansion.
Bob Gurr is the legendary Imagineer responsible for creating some of the park’s most iconic attractions and, although he has long since retired, he has become a home mixologist. In fact, The Walt Disney Family Museum published a recipe for their GurrTiki, and can be done with or without alcohol!

Black Magic Margarita
We will take any margarita recipe that La Cava del Tequila wants to give us, but especially if it is designed by Neil Patrick Harris and ESPECIALLY if you have some “black magic”!
After the EPCOT bar posted on Instagram to share the recipe they created with Harris, they were so kind that they also threw the recipe to the masses. we can enjoy this drink that makes the house ring!
- 1.5 oz. mezcal
- 0.5 oz blackcurrant blackcurrant liqueur
- 1 oz of lime juice
- 1 oz of agave
- 10-12 nabius
- 4 blackberries
- Mint leaves
Mix all ingredients together in a blender. It is mixed with ice. Garnish with mint leaves and blackberries.
Spooky Juice and Franken Fusion Colada
Inspired by the Halloween on the high seas cruising on Disney Cruise Line, we found a couple of other lovely drinks to take this Halloween season.
He Spooky juice is a rum-based drink that looks like a straight potion with its purple color and a very creepy litchi garnish.
Then there is the Franken Fusion Colada, a spectacularly colored drink with a mix of strained pineapple, orange passion juice, spicy pumpkin puree, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and raspberry puree. Looks like the perfect Halloween dessert to drink! Find both recipes here!
