French Market is a fast food restaurant located in the New Orleans Square area of Disneyland in Anaheim, California. It has a solid reputation among our readers and is Disneyland’s sixth highest rated fast food restaurant with a score of 92%. French Market has a reputation for having a robust, high-quality menu, but does it suffer from degradations like many of Disneyland Resort’s fast-service restaurants? Keep reading to find out.French Market is located in a bustling area of the park, close to Haunted Mansion and Disneyland Railroad Station in New Orleans Square. This highly visible location along with a reputable menu make it a house of absolute madness for most of the day. Most of the time finding a place to eat can be difficult, although French Market has a large outdoor seating area. You’ll often see families on benches and ledges outside the restaurant with trays full of food balancing on the laps as they bounce. The interior of French Market uses a buffet system where you slide the tray and grab the food you want from a cast member. Mobile orders can also be placed. My favorite menu item is the Jambalaya with prawns, chicken and andouille sausage stew served over rice ($ 14.99). This is one of the highest quality fast food meals you’ll find at ANY Disney theme park. The chicken is tender and perfectly spiced with just a little sting. It may not be the best jambalaya you have, but it is very good, especially for eating at the theme park. A Jambalaya vegetable is also available on the menu for $ 12.99.

Next is the slowly roasted Beef Po Poef with fried onion and horseradish sauce served on a rustic roll with au jus and chips. Unfortunately, this entrant received a significant decline from what it once was. Originally, the sandwich had a larger portion of beef and was served with a side of grapes and homemade fries. The price, of course, has gone up. They are now $ 14.49.

With all that, it’s still very tasty. And who doesn’t like horseradish sauce?

This is the Cajun-style chicken Caesar salad with romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese and homemade croutons and Caesar dressing ($ 11.99). I’m a big fan of the chicken that is served with this salad; it is delicious. This dish also received a big discount in terms of portion size. When the Caesar-style Caesar-style chicken salad was twice the size, it was important enough to make a meal out of. But with its current portion it’s best to have it on hand, unless you’re light eaters. And $ 12 is a lot of money for a quick service salad.

Disneyland mint julip fans rejoice! You can order the popular Juliet mint drink along with the food at the French Market. This makes it much easier than having to wait for two separate lines.

French Market is also home to delicious and wonderfully photogenic seasonal desserts. Here’s a Haunted Mansion buggy shaped cupcake.

My personal favorite was this delicious and spooky wedding cake.

Other menu items include a roast chicken with herbs and Po ’Boy shrimp. The French Market menu had many items removed after Disneyland reopened earlier this year, which is unfortunate because the restaurant’s variety has always been one of its strengths. Overall, the menu is still solid, and only the jambalaya and seasonal desserts are worth a visit. Plus, when you’re done eating, you’re close to one of the largest amusement parks on the planet.
