Fried Chicken Paradise, review of Disneyland Plaza Inn – Blog by TouringPlans.com

Plaza Inn is a fast food restaurant located on Main Street, USA at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. His most famous dish, by far, is fried chicken food, which is the favorite food of many people throughout Disneyland. According to TouringPlans.com and the unofficial Disneyland Readers Guide, Plaza Inn is the second highest rated restaurant in Disneyland Park, with 93% of readers giving it a thumbs up. In this post we will take a look at its entrants and see if there have been any major rebates since the park reopened earlier this year.

The Plaza Inn is located on the right side of downtown Disneyland, to the right of the Tomorrowland entrance. The Plaza Inn is open as a buffet breakfast with character from the park opening until 11:00. Lunch service usually starts at 12:00.

The Plaza Inn’s dining room has a magnificent Victorian style with comfortable seating and lots of brocade and brass. If you find a seat inside, it is a wonderful place to sit and relax.

The large outdoor patio is also nice. It offers a great view of the main street, where parades pass, the Disneyland Band and countless people. It’s great for people watching as you pluck the chicken from the bone.

Food from the Plaza Inn is served buffet style. Grab a tray and head to the stations where there are specific dishes. Once you have everything you need, wait in a separate line at a cash register to pay. Chicken and pasta dishes are found along the back wall, while salads and desserts are on an island in the center of the room.

We’ll start with the famous fried chicken meal (which is seen here served in a plastic container, which is introduced if you order via Disney’s mobile ordering service). We can’t say enough good things about this fried chicken. It is perfectly battered, spicy, juicy, tender and delicious. The fried chicken meal is priced at $ 18.99, making it one of the most expensive fast food meals in the park, but you definitely get what you pay for. In addition to being very tasty, here you also get a generous serving of food. This is so much better for your money than a basic fast food burger for $ 12 at one of the other fast food restaurants. While I’m talking about the price, it’s hard to believe that just a few years ago this dish cost just $ 14.

Also included with the fried chicken meal is a side of green beans, mashed potatoes and a cookie. If you’re not a fan of green beans, you can substitute them for another slice of potato.

Roast in the pot ($ 18.99) is the hardest dish to recommend because of its inconsistency. I’ve done it several times over the years and sometimes it’s perfectly cooked and moist, while other times it’s soft and dry. With both dishes at the same price, it’s impossible to recommend it over fried chicken.

One of the basic items on the Plaza Inn menu is the cobb salad ($ 13.49) with a mix of vegetables, chicken, bacon, egg, tomatoes and blue cheese dressing. It’s great and I think it’s currently the only place in the whole resort where you can eat a cobb salad. I like to take this as a salad and share it with another member of my party.

The most boring dishes on the menu are pasta. The image above shows the bolognese meat sauce. There are also fettuccini and marinara sauces. DO NOT ask for it at Plaza Inn. This is the type of dish that should be reserved when you leave work late unexpectedly and need to prepare a quick dinner in 10 minutes. Plus, the bread stick is a dead touch for Little Caesars ’Crazy Bread. I wouldn’t be able to differentiate the two if you made me do a blind taste test.

For dessert, the Plaza Inn usually has at least one seasonal item, such as the “monster cake” shown on the left, as well as the carrot cake. I’m a big fan of the carrot cake and I love the Plaza version. I’m not saying it’s anything special or unique, but there’s something so satisfying about being at Disneyland and having a big piece of carrot cake for me.

Overall, the Plaza Inn has an excellent starter and a decent few. It is remarkable that a single article makes it as well valued among our readers as it is. Make no mistake, though, you won’t be disappointed with the fried chicken. There are even those who say that it is better than the world-famous chicken in Mrs. Knott’s at Knott’s Berry Farm. I’m not sure I agree with that, but it can definitely go face to face.

What do you think of the Plaza Inn fried chicken? Is it better than Knott’s chicken? Does Plaza Inn deserve to be rated as high as it is? Let us know in the comments.
