Disneyland Red Rose-themed Beauty and the Beast Tavern – TouringPlans.com Blog

Red Rose Taverne is a fast food restaurant located in Fantasyland at Disneyland. We first reviewed this Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant in 2017 when it opened. It’s been four long years and a few menu changes since then, so it’s time to review it and take a look at the current menu. Is it up to the fantastic selection of when it first opened, or has it made a turn for the worse since then? Keep reading to find out.

The Garden Mozzarella Flatbread is topped with tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, balsamic glaze and tomato sauce. The balsamic glaze gave this flat bread a sweet, unique taste compared to other pizzas and breads sold at Disneyland. At just $ 9.99, it has good value because of its size and taste. My only complaint is that it is very weak. Don’t think the bread will be crispy in any way. When it comes to pizza, this is much better than the cakes served at Alien Pizza Planet. If you are not a fan of these ingredients, you can get it covered with pepperoni for the same price.

The enchanted cauli flower sandwich was my favorite menu item. Includes grilled cauliflower steak, vegan spicy lime aioli, lettuce and tomato, and served with French fries or Cuties oranges. Everything about my original 2017 review is still true:

“I was still skeptical about the Enchanted Cauli-Flower Sandwich, even after most members of the Red Rose Taverne cast said it was their favorite item on the menu. But it was good. Even Tom Bricker, who she feeds her dog with her vegetables when Sarah doesn’t look, she thought it was delicious.Speaking of Tom and Sarah Bricker, you can read her review of Red Rose Taverne here.

Now we come to the bottom of the barrel. The classic 1/3 pound Angus cheeseburger ($ 12.79). That’s the kind of thing people think of when they talk about bad, boring food at the theme park. It’s the same style and quality burger as the McDonald’s on Disneyland Street, but this one is over $ 12. What’s more disappointing is that the Red Rose Taverne opened with a very good fast food burger, The Beast’s Burger topped with minced meat, gruyère cheese, caramelized onion, lettuce, tomato and horseradish aioli. It was fantastic. It is also worth mentioning that the fries at Red Rose Taverne received a major discount. Previously, Pommes Frites (also known as garlic fries) came standard with each meal. They were delicious, but have now been replaced by the usual standard Disney fries.

There is no way to photograph and make this one look appetizing!

For dessert, there’s the Gray Stuff for $ 6.49. From my original review:

“I expected it to be terribly sweet, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it soft, not too sweet and generally very tasty. The cream-flavored cookies and ice cream complement the red velvet cake inside and I especially liked the raspberry stuffing drop. Overall, a fantastic dessert. “

A look inside Gray Stuff.

That’s funny, for the Halloween season Disney offered the Halloween Gray Stuff. It tastes exactly the same, but has a fantastic little cookie tombstone.

Before we finish, let’s take a look at the restaurant.

Mrs. Potts makes an appearance.

Gaston, antlers, you know the drill.

The food ordering and collection area has always given me a great Epcot vibe.

Red Rose Taverne has a disappointing menu with no featured items that make it worth spending the money you have earned. Previous menu favorites, such as the slow-cooking Beef Putin, the Flatbread Putin, and the aforementioned Beast’s burger are gone. In its place is the standard theme park fare. For better food at about the same price, take the short walk to Docking Bay 7 at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge or the French market in New Orleans Square.
