Great news from Universal as we have attraction closures, event announcements, more discounts and even the return of some green coffee.

We also look forward to seeing what new delights are being prepared for Universal’s culinary team.

Reform The revenge of the mummy
It’s time to hide the Museum of Antiquities, as The Revenge of the Mummy from Universal Studios Florida is closing for a lengthy renovation. We hope that the theme and history will remain virtually the same, as this renovation will update and replace the components of the roller coaster. We’re excited to see that this favorite fan attraction will get the attention it needs to make it work for years to come.
Revenge of the Mummy closes on January 7, 2022 and will reopen in late summer 2022.
Shrek 4D closure
He’s not an ogre until the green lady sings, but the days of Shrek 4D are now numbered. The 3D theater attraction will close on January 10, 2022 for a new experience. While Universal has yet to announce a replacement, we expect it to be replaced by a new Minions attraction based on the fictional Villian-con convention.
The last day of operations will be January 9, 2022.
Fear Factor Live has closed permanently
Fear is a factor for Universal Orlando, as Fear Factor Live has definitively closed the confirmed station on Twitter. The acrobatics show aired guests in groups to compete in phobia-related stunts with a group declared winner. Fear Factor Live closed in March 2020 as part of the complex’s COVID-19 closure and never reopened. The attraction was always on the verge of being removed, as it was the last time it received a suspension of execution in 2017.
Universal has not announced any replacement attractions at this time, but we believe a new Harry Potter attraction is approaching where guests are practically walking around with brooms.

Universal has begun a reconfiguration of its bus loop at the transportation center located by CityWalk. The works will temporarily move the Endless Summer bus pick-up and drop-off location to the far end of the bus circuit. Once completed in the spring of 2022, the new bus loop will improve the flow of visitors and buses.
