REVIEW: Jelly, Boba, Toffee And Tea in One Disney World Dessert ?! It’s better than you think …

Restaurant Nine Dragons en EPCOT China Pavilion is a table service restaurant known for its wide range of Chinese cuisine, with Cantonese, Mongolian, Szechuan, Hunan and Kiangche style dishes everything is offered here.

Restaurant Nine Dragons

We recently went to try it a new 50th anniversary dessert which is based on a trendy silly tea drink!

In the past, we have had conflicting feelings about this restaurant: sometimes we love it and really enjoy its spicy food and delicious dumplings, But other times it is overshadowed by other EPCOT offers I like the elegant Le Cellier i the most accessible Garden Grill. However, Nine Dragons has had a good streak lately, so let’s see if this EPCOT site can dazzle us again!

Inside Nine Dragons

He Boba Blue Magic, what features Homemade Butterfly Pea Flower Ice Cream and Blue Lychee Jelly topped with Creamy Milk Cap, Cranberry Stuff, Crispy Candy and a Fortune Cookie, is the new 50th anniversary gift available for $ 10.50. Butterfly pea flower tea is a very popular and trendy flavor right now and tastes similar to a soothing chamomile tea.

Boba’s blue magic!

The highlight of this dish was the light, floral flavor of the ice cream, the delicious, crunchy toffee and the fun fortune cookie on top! We are not big on gelatin, so the lychee element of this dish was a bit lacking for us. We would I recommend this one for people who love jelly and silly pearls because these elements are quite prominent in this dish.

Taking a bite!

Overall, this is a great treat for silly lovers! If you like floral desserts, this is great for you because the butterfly pea flower and lychee certainly bring many floral notes. If you don’t like jelly or silly pearls, stay away! This one is pretty heavy on both of them.

The Boba Blue Magic has MANY Boba pearls!

If you don’t like lychee, blue pea butterfly tea or jelly, but still want to a bit of a Disney fool, there are some great options. Places like Yesake and Disney Springs, Joy of Tea at the EPCOT China Pavilion, i Morimoto Asia Street Food at Disney Springs they all offer great silly drinks!

If you want a little more of this floral lychee flavor, Head to the Lotus Blossom Cafe and try their lychee ice cream! Fair warning: the food there was a bit basic the last time we visited.
