PHOTOS: Did Halloween attract the crowd to Disney World?

Star Wars pickles, limited time cocktails and lots of treats? Yes, it’s Halloween at Disney World, folks!
Does this wreath call you Halloween?
While we’re exploring the parks today, we’re thrilled to grab a Pumpkin Spice Latte and a snack with themed treats to celebrate. But, we’re not the only ones visiting Disney World today, ready to have fun! Tan, let’s take a look at the crowds we saw for Halloween!
When we walked into the Magic Kingdom, we knew it would be a pretty busy day after seeing the crowds in the parks! Tomorrowland was one of the most popular areas in the park, as many guests would go to places for food, attractions and more.

Tomorrowland Crowds
Some of the quieter attractions were even busy with longer queues on excursions like Tomorrowland Speedway …

It’s a busy day!
… And the Buzz Lightyear space turn!

Line queues
However, although the queues seemed busier, the waiting times were not as high as we expected (although they approached or spent just over an hour in certain parts of the day). Still, even with the crowd at the Magic Kingdom, there were a few quiet corners of the park ideal for sitting back to rest.

Quieter area
On the other hand, Hollywood Studios was MUCH busier when we entered compared to the Magic Kingdom! The Halloween crowds stretched from the entrance booths to the downtown area, causing a bit of a wait to actually enter the park.

Hollywood Studios Crowds
While this is not surprising Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was the best choice for many guests visiting Halloween, it was very busy with families and people willing to explore Batuu.

Crowds from Galaxy’s Edge
Along with the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance, queues spread to other Galaxy’s Edge locations in restaurants and shops! However, when we passed the Oga Canteen, they accepted walking tours (which is a pretty rare sight!).

Market full of people
Toy Story Land has also advanced today, as many guests were thrilled to shrink to the size of a toy (like a little extra Halloween magic). However, we saw Slinky Dog Dash temporarily close at one point, even though it was one of the most visited attractions of the day!

Toy Story Land
There were still some quiet areas of Hollywood Studios, like Grand Avenue, so guests could relax before heading back to the busier parts of the park! This area was even busier than we have seen in recent days.

As we continue on our way to Disney World during the holiday season, we are sure to take a look at everything you can expect in the parks! Stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news and entertainment soon!
