Universal Orlando Resort for Beginners – Transportation to the Resort – TouringPlans.com Blog

Whether you have been wanting to change your holiday for a long time or have been visiting Orlando for the first time, planning a visit to Universal Orlando Resort raises many questions. Today we’ll talk about the transportation options at the Universal Orlando Resort complex.
Overview
Universal Orlando Resort is located on approximately 750 acres of forked land on Interstate 4. The resort has several modes of transportation to transport guests from car parks and hotels to their destinations.
Buses
The most common means of transportation in Universal are buses. Buses run frequently and quickly, often one is staged before the departure of another. Mears operates the Universal bus line and each bus has a modern design, air conditioning, ample lighting, ADA compliance and a video system on the bus.
Buses leave continuously from their destination.

Water taxis
Similar to the Friendship launches available at EPCOT resorts, Universal Orlando offers water taxi service from select resorts to CityWalk. From CityWalk Pier, it is within walking distance to Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Despite being a water park, no water taxi service is offered in Volcano Bay.
Boats leave approximately every 5 or 10 minutes.

Walking
Raise those kicks, it’s time to walk! All hotels except Endless Summer have walking paths from hotels to theme parks. The roads are well lit, security guarded and have lush foliage. Directional road signs direct you to Universal hotels and attractions.
Walking times will depend on the location of the hotel room. A room on the edge of the property near the walking path will take less time than a room on the opposite side of the hotel. Google Maps walkthroughs are linked below for reference.
We do not recommend it when walking to Volcano Bay from the car park, Portofino Bay or Hard Rock. Buses are a faster option.
Divers
Prior to the COVID-19 closures, toll rickshaws were offered on the roads. Prices varied depending on the length of the trip and the time of day. It is highly recommended to tip.
Transportation to Walt Disney World can be arranged from the Universal Attractions Ticket Center at an additional cost. Instead, we suggest calling an Uber / Lyft or calling a taxi.
Airport transportation is provided via Universal under the Superstar Shuttle program. Prices start at $ 39 per adult, round trip. You can book Superstar Shuttles by contacting your travel agent, resort or booking through a vacation package.
