We’ve shared a look at Adventure by Disney’s special discounts in the past, as well as a look at 2022 destinations. But now is the time to plan for 2023 and take a look at a NEW experience you could continue!

Adventures by Disney has just announced that it will offer a NEW expedition cruise experience in 2023. During this new expedition, guests will be able to go to the northernmost region of the earth: the ARTIC !!!

That’s right: we’re talking about natural wonders, amazing wildlife, and a journey that is sure to be unforgettable. A team of naturalist experts and adventure guides will accompany you on this fantastic journey to share all kinds of stories.

Here is a breakdown of the Disney Expedition Cruises adventures you can do in 2023:

1 – NEW Arctic Family Expedition Cruises

These cruises will be rented with PONANT, which is a leader in “luxury polar expeditions.” There are 2 expedition dates: June and July 2023. These are itineraries of 10 days and 9 nights each.

You will travel to the Norwegian Arctic, Explore Longyearbyen (the northernmost settlement on the planet with a permanent population of over 1,000!), see glaciers, go on boat trips and maybe even see wildlife like polar bears, reindeer and more.

Want to add even MORE fun to your adventure? Then, you’ll want to board the July sailing, where former Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde will accompany you!

Rohde will share stories from his career at Disney and his passion for nature, and will even teach drawing sessions to guests. It’s about an epic adventure.

2 – Family expedition cruises to Antarctica

In 2023, you will also be able to go to Antarctica. Disney has added 3 new releases for this special itinerary, coming out in December 2022 and early 2023.

On this trip, you’ll be able to go to the southernmost tip of Argentine Patagonia, travel the Drake Pass, go hiking and boating, and maybe even see whales, penguins, and seals!

3 – Family expedition cruises to the Galapagos Islands

If you’re looking for something a little warmer, you can head to the Galapagos Islands with 9-day, 8-night itineraries.

On these cruises, you will get there snorkel in waters inhabited by sea lions, walk and even paddle with transparent kayaks!

Booking information

Bookings for 2023 Adventures by Disney Expedition Cruises will open to the general public on November 12, 2021. However, some bookings will open earlier for selected guests. The following image was shown specifically on the website in relation to Antarctic navigations.

If you are interested in other crossings, be sure to check if you are eligible for any early booking dates.


If you want to book a 2023 expedition cruise to Antarctica, You can also save GREAT by booking in advance. If you book your adventure before February 7, 2022 for the February 13, 2023 departure, you can save 1,000 per person!
