Which Disney World parking lot is the WORST without trams?

For more than a year, the Disney World car park trams have NOT been in service.

Could the trams return soon?

Traditionally, these trams picked up guests at various points in the parking lots of each theme park and transported guests right near the main entrance to the park. Guests also returned to various places in the parking lot from the park entrance. These trams can save you some walking time, but (most importantly) take a break from walking before or after a long day walking. So, with the trams gone for now, what are the BEST walking parks at Disney World? We have asked for your input and that is what you had to say.

A quick update

Before entering our ranking, we just wanted to give you a brief update on the situation of the trams in the parking lot. At the moment, parking trams do not operate at Disney World.

This means that instead of enjoying the breeze and relief of standing while you go to the park entrance, after parking your car in the parks you will have to WALK (with the delicious Florida sun or the rain wonderfully steamy Florida) way to the park entrance (or back to the car at the end of the day).

Tram parking

Trams will return to Disneyland car parks in 2022, however Disney World has not posted any updates on the return of these trams. We are waiting for more updates.

Okay, right now you can’t get on the tram to get out of the park entrance and your parking spot. This brings us to today’s ranking. Which Disney World parking lots are the BEST to walk in right now since the streetcars are gone?

Well, we got in touch with all of you via Facebook with this same question to get your thoughts. Here’s what you all have to say.

4 – Disney’s Hollywood Studios

It wasn’t mentioned very often, though In response, it was mentioned that Hollywood Studios was in competition for the worst parking with trams. Overall, though, this was one of the least mentioned parks, and we have to agree that it’s one of the best parking lots without a tram.

The parking lot is not very difficult to walk and does not feel as big or as long as some of the others, making a walk to and from your car not so painful.

While you’ll have a bit of a walk from the additional spaces on the lot to the park, things are generally quite compact and feel relatively easy to maneuver.

Not as much was mentioned as the other 2, but another response noted that EPCOT was one of the worst parking lots without a tram.

EPCOT input

Still, we believe the placement as the second best parking lot without trams is fair. The parking lot may look a little bigger than Hollywood Studios, but overall, the road to and from the park entrance isn’t bad at all.

The fact that you can normally see the Earth spacecraft from wherever you walk is also nice – it gives you a visual goal for walking and a bit of excitement for what’s to come! And while some of the lots are further away, they all get organized pretty easily, which makes them good for moving around.

2 – Animal kingdom

We’ll get to our number 1 in a minute, but before we do, we will tackle the parking lot of a park raised by a few people: the animal kingdom.

Some said they believe Animal Kingdom is the worst, or that Animal Kingdom and the No. 1 pick are tied to be the worst, depending on where you park.

Animal kingdom parking

The animal kingdom parking lot may seem very spacious. It can also be a little difficult to maneuver. One of our team members shared that he lost his car in this parking lot once. Been there.

It could have something to do with how the lots are arranged, or with the size you can feel. Either way, the comments from our readers seemed to rank Animal Kingdom as the second worst (and we agree).

1 – Magic Kingdom / Transportation and Ticket Center

By far, the winner of this challenge (in terms of being the WORST parking without a tram) was Magic Kingdom / Transportation and Ticket Center, and we have to agree. The walk from your car park to the front of the transport center and tickets can be long.

But it only adds insult to injury when you get to the front and then remember (or realize) you still have to take ANOTHER form of transportation to really get to the Magic Kingdom.

Entrance to the Magic Kingdom

Many of you have felt this way about the parking situation there. Readers responded by saying “Magic Kingdom. No contest.” And “Scar lot a MK !!!! Looks like he’s in Tampa! “

The photo in the parking lot above shows how far some of these lots are, which makes them a fairly long walk from the front. Overall, Magic Kingdom wins the prize for the worst parking without trams safely.

But, some readers were delighted to spread the wealth. Some shared that, in their view, ALL parking lots are the worst now that the trams are gone, and we feel it on a deep and emotional level.

Tram parking

There’s nothing more painful than dropping rope EPCOT, walking around the park all day and then realizing late at night that you have to walk to your car (hoping you actually have noted where you parked in the car). first place).

Hollywood Studios Parking

Some offered an easy solution: stay on the property. Admittedly, one of the biggest advantages of staying in a Disney World hotel is using it Disney transport this, in fact, leaves you close to the front of the parks. But, this is not always a possibility for everyone. And Disney’s transportation can come with its own set of challenges.

Disney bus

Another suggested get an Uber. An Uber can drop off guests at some of the nearest places, so this could be a solution in some respects. But keep in mind that the Ubers still have to leave guests at the transportation and ticketing center, not in the Magic Kingdom bus area. So you still have to get on a monorail or a boat to get to the park.

Welcome to EPCOT

A select few (we won’t give any names to protect them) shared it they were fine without the trams as they like to walk or walk regularly a lot. Another said they like the ride to the Magic Kingdom and how they can see some beautiful resorts along the way (you can walk directly from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom now if you choose thanks to the walkways For Polynesia and the Grand Floridian). Resorts). And we tell these people: you are an inspiration.

Some also pointed out that it all depends on where you park, and that’s a good point. If you park closer to the front, either because you arrive very early, arrive a little later in the day, or just get lucky, then this situation could be completely different (except Magic Kingdom, which still seems to be the worst though park closer to the front).
