Happy holiday! The Christmas season is in full swing at Disney World and many decorations are starting to appear in the parks.
But you know us and we talk about FOOD. Fortunately, Disney World has released a lot of holiday delights for parks and resorts this year, so we’ll see them all! Today, we are trying a holiday snack back from Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
At Backlot Express i Coffee Trolley Car en Hollywood studios, we are eating the Red Velvet Whoopie Pie. It is made with Velvet red cake full of classic cream cheese filling i party showers! You can grab one $ 4.99.
This deal has been around for years and came back in a whole new way last year. It looks like the iconic and beloved carrot cake cookie, though how does this year’s version stack up?
We remember that we loved this deal in years past … but This year’s whoopie cake was a big disappointment.
Before we panic, we have to say it it wasn’t entirely horrible. The taste of red velvet was still there, and the treat still looks magnificent and very festive. But the cake tasted pretty dry and crumbled instead of the decadent, moist texture we remember.
The cake didn’t taste as good as we remember either, which meant that the sweet cream cheese ice cream was pretty much the only thing we tasted. If you like cream cheese ice cream, it may not necessarily be a bad thing! But we missed the combination of cream cheese and a strong taste of red velvet.
Hopefully we just had a bad batch, and the future Red Velvet Whoopie Pies this year will be so much better! But if you don’t want to take risks, you can get other holiday treats at the Coffee Trolley Car, like the peanut butter and caramel cheesecake Reindeer foam per $ 5.49. And just as a note, this tends to replace the beloved Carrot cookie during the holidays!
You can grab the Whoopie Red Velvet cake at Disney World until January 3. We’re always up to date with the latest Disney news, so stay tuned here for more!
