Big and beautiful bowls of bread on Disneyland’s Royal Street Veranda – TouringPlans.com Blog

I like big bowls of bread and I can’t lie. These round, sturdy balls of glorious carbs have been a staple of the Disneyland food scene for decades. Today we will take a look at Royal Street Veranda, which is one of the top places where you can purchase these bulbous delicacies at Disneyland.Let’s get straight into it. Doesn’t it look delicious? Don’t you want to put your head in it and take a nap? Pictured above is the bread bowl with Steak Gumbo, which is plentiful and delicious. You will find chunks of steak, rice, onions, peppers and other goodies in this satisfying and substantial gumbo. Our only complaint is that we would like the sliced bread to be a little bigger and the portion of soup served to be a little bigger. But at $ 11.49, you really can’t beat it compared to other Disneyland fast service entrants. If you eat all the soup and scarf all over the bread, you will definitely be full after this meal. Best of all is how the bread bowl absorbs all the soup. It’s wonderful, but be sure to grab some extra napkins.

There is also clam chowder (like vegetarian gumbo, which is also great). Clam soup is heavy, creamy and so wonderful on these rare rainy days in Southern California. By the way, the bread used in Disneyland bread bowls is made side by side at Disney California Adventure.

Royal Street Veranda will usually have a seasonal dessert in the form of donuts. For example, as I write this review, it’s fall season, so these tasty spiced pumpkin fritters with cream cheese are available. If you’re a fan of fried dough, don’t leave Royal Street Veranda without buying these fritters.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking you can share them with a friend or family member. Grab them for yourself.

Royal Street Veranda is located in New Orleans Square, to the right of the Pirates of the Caribbean entrance. It is a small place, with only one window to order and collect food via a waiting line and another for the collection of mobile orders.

In front is a microscopic seating area, but don’t even bother waiting for a seat here. It is never open. Grab your food and walk to Rancho Del Zocalo in Frontierland.

Can you tell us how much we like Disneyland bread bowls? We believe they are one of the best fast food dishes at Disneyland and are well worth the price.
