LAST: Disneyland to close and reimagine Mickey’s Toontown

Over the past year, Disneyland has made many changes to some of the park’s popular attractions.


For example, Disney reimagined Jungle Cruise with a new story and scenes, revised what was formerly known as Snow White’s Scary Adventure, and soon Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin will also receive an update. But this is not all! Disneyland has announced that more changes are planned for one of the most classic parts of the park!

Today, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products President Josh D’Amaro shared Disneyland will close Mickey’s Toontown in March 2022 to make way for a completely reimagined land with new attractions, activities and entertainment.

He The new land will be opened in early 2023 and will be a larger space both for “spontaneous family play and for parental relaxation.”

But what exactly will this entail? Well, the Land will feature a trip that Disney World fans might recognize: Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway!

In addition, the the center of the new Mickey’s Toontown will be known as Centoonial Park and will include a fountain with groundwater tables for the children to play in it already Game set “the tree of dreams”. which is inspired by the tree under which Walt Disney would daydream when he was young in his hometown.

I, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and other fan favorite characters won’t go anywhere either! They will still be in Toontown once it reopens.

Disney has not shared an exact date when Mickey’s Toontown will close in March 2022 or an exact date when the newly renovated land will reopen in early 2023, but we will be watching for updates! And in the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for more of the latest Disney news and updates!
