Mirabel d’Encanto joins Disney ¡Viva Navidad! During the Disney Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure Park

This holiday season, bring your family and friends together for a limited-time celebration of Walt Disney Animation Studios ’new musical,“ Charm, ”at Disney California Adventure Park. Set in Colombia, “Encanto” inspires new experiences that expand the cultural representation of “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!”, The favorite of the park’s festivities that features real dancers, musicians, costumes and decorations inspired by the countries of Mexico and Brazil.

Come see Mirabel, the young hero of the film, in a colorful photo shoot that evokes the “little house”, the enchanted house of Mirabel’s magical family, the Madrigals. Enjoy a delicious arepa con queso and listen to the authentic Colombian music of the band El Sabor Bueno, which appears twice a week at the Paradise Gardens Bandstand.

Of course, “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” also celebrates the festivities with an amazing street party organized by José Carioca, Panchito and Donald Duck, with Mexican folk dancers and mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers and percussionists, giant mojiganga puppets and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse at their best party.

“Disney, Merry Christmas!” is part of the merry Disney Holiday Festival, a stimulating, moving and unique Disney celebration that brings the season to life with diverse music and dance performances, unique food and gift markets, and lots of beloved Disney characters who invite you to delight in the festive spirit of the festivities!

Here’s a look at some of the fun you can experience this year:

Disney Festival of Holidays celebrates the spirit of Christmas, Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa and King’s Day with live entertainment throughout the park, which includes:

  • The mistlets – This a cappella ensemble, which first appears at this year’s Festival of the Holidays, celebrates an R&B Christmas and Kwanzaa spirit, while performing classic holiday songs with rhythm and soul at the Pacific Wharf Stage and Palisades Stage.
  • Dives del Mariachi – Sing with this GRAMMY award-winning group and their characteristic repertoire of bilingual and catchy holiday tunes as they perform at Pacific Wharf.
  • Mostly kosher – This lively group celebrates Hanukkah with an uplifting and eclectic musical tapestry that weaves klezmer, Latin, jazz and rock on the Sonoma Terrace stage.
  • Blue13 Dance Company – These animated performers have fun with traditional Indian dances that celebrate Diwali and create a Bollywood-inspired party for everyone on the Palisades stage.
  • Holiday toy drummers – These drummers march at their own cheerful pace and perform precision exercises with holiday joy on the Palisades stage.
  • “Happy Holidays at Mickey” – This cheerful seasonal celebration with Mickey Mouse and his friends travels through the heart of Disney California Adventure Park, encouraging everyone to join in the fun with Disney and Pixar characters, all dancing and parading with loud music energy and the cheerful rhythms of the Holidays.   • Holiday concerts – In the evening, enjoy holiday entertainment for all ages on the Palisades stage of Paradise Gardens Park. This year features The Suffragettes, an exciting festival band that hits the holidays with hits from some favorite music artists, and Phat Cat Swinger, the “Little Big Band” from the West Coast, performing a varied selection of holiday songs presented with a refreshing turn.
  • Disney characters – Keep your eyes open! You can take a look at favorites like Pluto, Chip n ’Dale, Clarabelle Cow and more, all dressed up for the season.
  • Visit of Santa Claus – Santa and his merry elves have transformed the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail into a fun-filled holiday amusement park. Come up with the message “Hello!” and share your Christmas wishes before Santa leaves for the North Pole on December 24th.
