Over the past few weeks we’ve taken you through 11 Disney Resort hotels, and the fun continues this week as we travel to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter. This resort is packed with the spectacle of New Orleans ’historic French Quarter, with cobbled streets, wrought iron balconies and the sounds of New Orleans jazz music!
The bayou calls to you as you walk along the Sassagoula River to your resort room. And you know what else it tells you? Mickey donuts. More on that momentarily.
Located in the Disney Springs area, this resort has rooms for up to four adults. There are standard rooms, with views of the garden, pool and river, and guests can choose between rooms with large or large beds.
Disney Plan Tip: Are you looking for a romantic getaway? PlanDisney panelists call it one of the most romantic resorts at Walt Disney World Resort.
Now let’s talk about food! This resort offers three phenomenal food and drink locations. These include Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, Scat Cat’s Club (Lounge and Café) and Mardi Grogs. Remember that mention of Mickey donuts? Well, they’re back, and you can try them at the Scat Cat Club Cafe. There are several different options, including a Mickey-shaped Donut sundae, but let’s go with the tried and true powdered sugar-covered donuts. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be found at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. This fast-serving restaurant offers amazing Cajun and Creole cuisine.
Are you looking for a day at the resort? Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter offers many activities for everyone.
