There are many new things at Disney World right now for the holidays, including candy, decorations and entertainment.
Although you will see many additions right now, some things may also be missing. Let’s take a look at which will NOT be available on your trip to Disney World this coming week.
We will start with some attractions in the parks that are expected to be closed for the entire next week.
The Walt Disney World Railroad is still closed in the Magic Kingdom. This train usually runs through the park, with stops on Main Street, USA, one in Fantasyland and another in Frontierland.
However, the construction of the nearby roller coaster TRON: Lightcycle Run interrupted the tracks in Tomorrowland, meaning the train cannot run right now.
We look forward to seeing him return when work on Tomorrowland is complete, which could be next year (although Disney has not given an official opening schedule for TRON so far).
As a reminder, Mickey’s PhilharMagic is OPEN again and Magic Kingdom. This attraction has a new inspired scene Coco, and a good job of painting was also done on the outside.
There is a new sign at the entrance, with a dark blue background and golden lettering. Be sure to check it out on your next trip!
Disney’s animal kingdom
Kali River Rapids is closed for some scheduled renovations, and is not expected to reopen until January 1, 2022.
If you’re looking for an exciting walk in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom, you can always head to the Everest Expedition nearby! This trip is one of the pay-per-view attractions if you want to skip the queue, but the wait is usually not too bad. So we recommend that you check out the My Disney Experience app throughout the day and go on the trip when the waiting time is low.
The Souk-al-Maghreb gift shop was due to reopen earlier this month, however its doors are still closed.
Disney has not announced that the Morocco Pavilion gift shop will reopen, so stay tuned to DFB for more updates.
Disney World Hotels
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort has not yet opened. It was scheduled to open in December this year, but Disney announced that its reopening will be delayed indefinitely due to more works inside.
At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, the Big Pine Key building has begun its transformation into Disney Vacation Club villas.
The rooms will be converted into 200 tourist studios, which are open in the summer of 2022.
Disney’s Port-Orleans Riverside Resort reopened last month, but Boatwright’s Dining Hall didn’t open with it.
Said a cast member The dining room will likely reopen in December, so stay tuned for more updates on this.
And that’s all for our update on what will close next week at Disney World. Follow DFB for more updates as you plan your next trip.
