In 2020, more than that 83 million gamers and gaming enthusiasts Tune in to the Livestream of The Game Awards. Last year’s record-breaking audience for this popular event is set to continue into 2021, and Spotify is here to help.
To celebrate the role of music in gaming, we teamed up with The Game Awards to be the official and exclusive audio streaming partner of this year’s event, which takes place on Thursday, December 9 in Los Angeles. During the live show, Spotify will reveal what gamers have heard the most this year.
In addition, Spotify invites fans to check out exclusive playlists and a special four-episode podcast. Inside the Game Awards, Hosted by The Game Awards creators, executive producers and hosts Geoff Keigley. The first episode of the show premiered today, November 22, with new episodes including weekly drops, and the entire series will be available on Spotify.

Each episode will feature special guests from across the video game community, including Tina Amini, Editor-in-Chief of IGN Entertainment, Jeff Garstman, The founder of the website Giant bomb, And Similarly, McDonald’s, At the video game editor Guardian. The four-episode series will highlight this year’s nominees as well as the latest news from the awards ceremony, including the return of The Game Awards Orchestra, a star-studded musical component of rock and orchestra musicians.
