After donating $ 3 million in grants to local nonprofits as part of the 50th anniversary celebration, Walt Disney World Resort continues its commitment to the community throughout the donation season, honoring a clearly Day tradition. Disney’s Thanksgiving to the Central Florida Homeless Coalition. through our annual festive meal service, a tradition of over 20 years!
“Over the past two decades, Walt Disney World Resort chefs have been re-preparing a traditional Thanksgiving meal with all the ornaments for the Coalition for the Homeless residents,” Tajiana Ancora said. -Brown, Director of Foreign Affairs at Walt Disney World Resort. “This tradition is an example of how members of the Disney cast have always wanted to do magic, especially beyond our parks and for those who need it most.”
This year, the Disney’s Hollywood Studios team is once again maintaining the tradition and sharing their culinary talents to bring a little extra holiday magic to hundreds of residents.
“It means the world to all of us,” said Bill, executive chef at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. “It’s been a tough year for everyone, and for our team to be able to get together and take care of the members of our community who need extra help means a lot.”
It is also an old tradition for Disney VoluntEARS to team up with the culinary cast to help serve this special meal made with love. For nearly 40 years, the Disney VoluntEARS program has played a major role in the cast experience here at Walt Disney World Resort, offering personal opportunities like this for cast members to return to the community they call home.
