Universal has confirmed that Volcano Bay will be closed on certain days from January. No dates have been officially announced, but we expect the water park to be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays in January and February. Volcano Bay will also close when daily temperatures reach 50, stay tuned Universal’s social networks for updates.

Waterfront refurbishment on the winter island of adventure

It is again that time of year when the weather gets colder and Universal closes its water attractions to renovate them. If you travel to the Islands of Adventure from January to March, water walks in Toon Lagoon and Jurassic Park will close on the following dates:

  • Jurassic Park River Adventure closed January 10-28, 2022
  • Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls closed from January 31 to February 25, 2022
  • Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges closed from February 25 to March 15, 2022

Hard Rock Hotel Velvet Sessions

Guess who’s at the Velvet Sessions at the Hard Rock Hotel this month – why the old The Guess Who is Carl Dixon! On Friday, December 17 at 7pm, you’ll be able to hear Carl perform rock and holiday hits on acoustics. Tickets start at $ 20 just for the standing room or up to $ 120 for a four-person table with a free round of drinks and complimentary valet parking. Tickets are available online.

Holidays in Universal Orlando

Christmas is just around the corner and Universal is doing its best with its holiday offerings. The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular and Universal’s Holiday Parade with Macy’s returns with daily performances. The Wizarding World presents three Christmas versions of its popular shows. Guests can search for Christmas-themed trees or stroll through the Holiday Tribute store. All this and more is running now until January 2, 2022.
