Whether you’re visiting Disney World soon or want to keep up to date with all the latest news, today we have a couple of news for you guys.
From time to time, Disney will close a trip, attraction or hotel to work on some interior renovations. Right Now we’re taking a look at everything that will be closed at Disney World next week so you know what to expect from your next trip!
There are some attractions in the parks that you won’t be able to visit this coming week. Let’s take a look!
Reform of the Magic Kingdom
In the Magic Kingdom, the Walt Disney World Railroad is still closed. This train usually runs through the park with stops on Main Street, USA, at Fantasyland, and another at Frontierland.
But you may have noticed some construction in Tomorrowland on the nearby roller coaster TRON: Lightcycle Run. This construction interfered with the train tracks, which means the train cannot run right now.
The Walt Disney World Railroad will likely return when construction is completed in Tomorrowland, which could be next year (although Disney has not given an official opening schedule for TRON so far). During destination D23, we saw an update of some renovations to the Walt Disney World Railroad train⁇
… And we have to say it’s better than ever! We will keep you informed of any news we have about the reopening of this attraction.
Reform of Disney’s Animal Kingdom
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the popular water attraction Kali River Rapids is still closed for its reform. We recently saw some new construction walls also by the promenade. But in fact we have good news with this project!
This trip would reopen on January 1, 2022, however right now it’s scheduled to open a little earlier, activated December 16, 2021 However!
So, in just a couple of weeks, you can enjoy Kali River Rapids again. We will keep you informed of its reopening as soon as we see it again in the parks.
In EPCOT, Souk-al-Maghreb gift shop in Morocco’s World Showcase pavilion is still closed. It came out of the reform schedule for a while, though we did not see it reopen at the park.
The gift shop is back on Disney’s renovation calendar and it looks like the store will remain closed at least until February next year. How far the calendar goes right now, so its closing could be longer.
Disney World hotel refurbishment
Disney’s Port-Orleans Riverside Resort reopened last month, but Boatwright’s Dining Hall didn’t open with it.
Said a cast member The dining room will likely reopen in December, so stay tuned for more updates on this.
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort has not yet opened.
It was scheduled to open in December this year, but Disney announced that its reopening will be delayed indefinitely due to more works inside.
At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, the Big Pine Key building has begun its transformation into Disney Vacation Club villas. The rooms will be converted into 200 tourist studios, which are open in the summer of 2022.
