Boatwright’s will reopen with price increases and other major changes at Disney World


Last month, Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside Resort reopened to guests after being closed for almost a year and a half.

And, while the hotel has been welcoming guests, Boatwright dining room has been closed. But, that will change soon! Disney has announced that the restaurant will reopen on December 14, 2021 and We’ve taken a look at all the menu changes you can expect!

The Boatwright dining room will be open for dinner and will feature a whole host of “southern specialty” dishes for guests to enjoy. But, the menu will look a little different than you might remember.

On the snack menu, Disney has he removed three dishes, including Crawfish Bisque, Andouille Sausage, and fried cheese and green tomatoes. Instead, you can now find Boudin balls, which is a mixture of andouille sausage, smoked sausage and battered and fried raw rice served with remoulade, Creole mustard and pickled vegetables, and Amelia’s Salad, which is a salad-like vegetable-based option that was on the entree menu).

There are also a few price increases including:

  • French onion gratin soup: has risen from $ 9 to $ 10
  • Mardi Gras donuts: increased from $ 10 to $ 12
  • Amelia Salad: Raised from $ 9 to $ 10

In the entry menu, the The ribs on the Turbodog barbecue have been removed and a few more dishes received some tweaks. For example, the Nashville hot chicken no longer appears as served in a southern honey cookie. I, The Big Easy is now served with dirty rice, seasonal vegetables, pickled onions and white butter in brown butter instead of mac and crayfish cheese, and blackberry port demi. too has decreased the price from $ 36 to $ 26.

And, while one dish went down in price, others now it will cost more including:

  • Chef’s dish all you can eat: it’s increased from $ 33 to $ 35
  • Boatwright’s Jambalaya: Raised from $ 19 to $ 21
  • Boatwright’s Harvest Jambalaya: Raised from $ 19 to $ 21
  • General Fulton’s Prime Rib: Raised from $ 35 to $ 36
  • Deep South Shrimp & Grits: Raised from $ 23 to $ 24

For the sides, the menu now includes only three options, with Red beans and rice, macaroni and cheese macaroni and crab cakes in pieces all removed.

And, for dessert, Disney has some removed the traditional bread and lemon chess bar dishes and replaced them for Banana cream bread pudding i Sorbet.

In addition, the The pecan cheesecake seems to have changed a bit, as it was previously topped with vanilla whipped cream and spicy candied pecans, but is now described as a Bourbon-Caramel sauce and spicy candied pecans.

He children’s menu has also received some review with several snacks and input options have been removed and the addition of dishes such as grilled fish, pasta with marinara, a cup of mixed fruit as a side option and zero sugar lemonade with cotton caramel flavors served in a souvenir cup to drink.

The food is not the only part of the menu that will receive an update! The 50th anniversary specialty drink known as EARidescent Sip-a-bration can now be found in the menu. Although, the Mega-Berry Smoothie has been removed.

And the The menu of specialty cocktails and desserts is much more limited with drinks like the Fireball Cocktail, Magical Star Cocktail, Cold Brew XO and the beers removed. However, you will still find many favorites returning.
