Comcast and Disney have reached an agreement on the distribution of television channels

One company he has worked with in the past is Comcast. In late 2020, we shared news about a new deal between Disney and Comcast for an integrated Disney + and ESPN + experience. Now, we have an update of another agreement between the two companies that has been renewed.

According to a press release posted on Business Wire, Disney and Comcast have “renewed their content transport agreement.” Through this renewed agreement, they will “Continue to provide Disney’s solid sports, news, children’s, family and general entertainment programming to Xfinity TV customers. Essentially, the transportation agreement ensures that Xfinity TV customers will continue to have access to the Disney or Disney-owned channels covered by the agreement.

Disney and Comcast have also indicated this Comcast will distribute the ACC network to its Xfinity customers.

The multi-year agreement also includes continued distribution of various Disney cable channels, such as ESPN, Disney brand channels, Freeform, National Geographic and more. It also includes terms of distribution of things like the SEC network and other ABC-owned TV stations.

Sean Bean, executive vice president of platform distribution for Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution said, “We are We are excited to extend our long-standing relationship with Comcast and continue to offer their Xfinity customers the best Disney programming in their class. “

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the previous deal between the companies was announced in 2012 and expired in September. With this renewed agreement, Xfinity users can expect continued access to some of their favorite Disney or Disney-owned channels.
