It’s no secret that planning a trip to Disney World can be very expensive! One of the most expensive things to go to Disney is to buy tickets for theme parks. It’s more than $ 100 to visit in just one day, and if you multiply that cost by a larger party over several days, you could be spending thousands.
If you are losing so much money, you will want to be smart with your purchase and avoid making these big ticket mistakes!
Purchase of unnecessary park hoppers
Let’s start by talking about Park Hopper tickets. It’s easy to buy a Park Hopper and then never use it during the trip because you’re too tired or too busy to jump into another park during the day. And if you go to Disney World for a few days, you may not even need a Park Hopper to complete your to-do list!
The good news is that you can always add Park Hopper to your door for a single day instead of buying it for your entire package before your trip. The same goes for Park Hopper Plus tickets – be sure to clear those numbers before you buy!
Buying too many tickets days
Another mistake that is easy to make when buying theme park tickets is to buy too many days. Many new Disney World guests like to buy tickets for each day of their vacation, but if you’re staying a few days, you’ll probably want to plan a “rest” or “rest” day in the middle of your visit.
During the day off, you can spend some time visiting Disney Springs or exploring your tourist hotel. Even if you have tickets for a full vacation, you’re likely to be so exhausted at the end of the trip that you won’t get the full value of your tickets, just visiting the park a few hours before you play. out.
Add Genie + to your full package
One of the newest mistakes guests can make when buying tickets is to add Disney Genie + to the full package of tickets. If you travel especially during the low season, you probably won’t need to use Genie + every day.
Genie + is much less useful in Animal Kingdom and EPCOT when the parks are not busy. So if you don’t want to spend the extra mass, you can purchase the new day-to-day service in the My Disney Experience app, starting at midnight on the day of your visit. If you have several guests at your party, they could save you hundreds!
Unnecessary purchase of the water park and sports option
The Water Park & Sports ticket supplement can be a great option if you want to experience some of the “extras” of Disney World. However, if you buy this addition, be sure to make the most of what you are paying for. Don’t overestimate how much energy you will have to do extra activities during your trip!
Automatic ticket purchase with a package
Most guests staying at a Disney World Resort hotel choose to purchase their trip as a package, with the hotel and tickets grouped together. However, we recommend that you use the numbers before purchasing; in some cases, you can save money by buying these two deals separately.
It will be different for each trip and family, but you may want to keep the package if you expect to purchase the Dining Plan when you return. This is an option that is only available in addition to a room and a ticket package.
Out-of-hours tickets are not used properly
And finally, let’s talk about After Hours! These events are expensive, so you’ll definitely want to get the most out of what you’ve paid for. If you buy a ticket for an out-of-hours event, be sure to arrive as soon as possible and use all the time if you can.
You can also avoid buying a ticket to the theme park on the day of your event. You will not receive the full value of the ticket due to the start of the After Hours party, and you will still be able to enter the park early with your ticket for the event, so you can still enjoy some daytime deals.
These are some of the great ways to spend too much on Disney World tickets. Now, you can go out and save your family money on a more magical vacation! For more tips and planning tips, stay tuned to AllEars!
