Check out what closes at Disney World next week!

It’s time for another update on what will be CLOSED at Disney World next week.

If you go to the parks next week, there are some attractions, restaurants and attractions that you will not be able to visit due to some scheduled renovations. We’ll take a look at each one and let you know when they’re available again.

Let’s take a look at each of the theme parks to see which attractions and attractions will close.

You may not have noticed it yet, but part of the highlight is the EPCOT’s Morocco pavilion at the World Showcase. This is because Souk-al-Maghreb gift shop has been closed.

Still closed!

This gift shop usually has Moroccan-inspired souvenirs, such as bright, colorful clothing and collectibles.

Souk-al-Maghreb (April 2021)

It was supposed to open a few weeks ago, but since then Disney has put it back on the reform calendar and it will now be closed at least until January 2022. This could be due to the shortage of supplies we have seen affecting other merchandise locations at Disney World.

Disney’s animal kingdom

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a popular waterfront promenade is still closed for some routine upgrades and maintenance.

Kali River Rapids

Kali River Rapids closed November 1 and was originally scheduled to reopen in mid-December this year. For a while, the Disney calendar showed the reopening of this trip on December 16, however now it looks like it won’t be open until January 4, 2022.

Kali is closed

We will keep you updated on the progress of this reform!

Magical Kingdom

The Walt Disney World Railroad is still closed at Magic Kingdom, though we did see an update on the progress of the renewal on Destination D23 last month.

Walt Disney World Railroad

Now the train looks better than ever! But we may not see it in action until the construction of TRON: Lightcycle Run is complete in Tomorrowland.

Tron Construction: end of November 2021

Part of the construction is getting in the way of the railroad tracks, so the train can’t run right now.

Fantasyland Station

Disney has not announced a date for the opening of TRON or the WDW railroad, but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear something.

Disney World Hotels

Parks aren’t the only places with closures next week. A Disney World hotel has not yet reopened at all. Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort never reopened after the closure of Disney World last year, although it had an opening date in December at some point.

Since then, Disney has announced that All-Star Sports will not open this date, and will remain closed for the foreseeable future. The delay is due to some additional work inside the complex.

For anyone staying at Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside Resort, keep this in mind Boatwright’s Dining Hall is not yet open for business.

Boatwright is located in Port Orleans Riverside

Luckily, its closure won’t last much longer. Boatwright’s is scheduled to reopen on December 14 this year. So you will soon be able to enjoy their southern specialties such as jambalaya, rib and prawns and grain.

At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney Vacation Club villas are under construction right now as Disney adds some room improvements.

Great Florida

Specifically, new rollaway beds will be added to the villas to allow more bedroom inside.
