Ugh, there’s been a lot of news at Disney World lately!
From Fantasmic’s announced return! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the Festival of Fantasy Parade in Magic Kingdom aa new fast food restaurant at EPCOT, many things come to us. But, there is some news that we have not seen coming! Here they are the three most unexpected things that happened at Disney World last month!
1. Break in annual season ticket sales
We were very surprised when Disney World halted most annual season ticket sales in mid-November. Disney halted sales of the Pirate, Wizard and IncrediPass until further notice.
The Pixie Pass is still available today. This pass costs $ 399 plus tax and is only available to Florida residents. The pass may contain three park reservations at a time, but has the most blocked dates of all passes. ALL other season tickets cannot be purchased at this time.
Disney stated that this break was to help manage capacity. At this time, existing pass holders can renew to any of the four pass types, but new pass holders have limited options. Annual season ticket sales resumed relatively shortly after they were completely shut down after the park closed, so it was surprising that they were partially halted again.

2. Surprises of the characters
November brought some amazing news when it comes to interacting with Disney World characters! We have received the announcement of the first full lunch of princess characters returning with the reopening of Storybook dinner at Artist Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort December 16th.
The venue will have an updated menu when it reopens. Now, the reopening of a restaurant is not so surprising, but one with princesses is! All currently open character meals include skin characters instead of face characters. Cinderella’s Royal Table has reopened with a Cinderella stop, But not the full dining experience. What a surprise!
We also had a fun interaction with the characters on Disney + Day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! It was amazing to see Russell, Dug and Mr. Fredricksen from Up, Moana, Tiana from The Princess and the Frog and Darth Vader from Star Wars!
In addition, dining interactions with characters have changed at Disney World.
You can now zoom in to take your photos with the characters. Get all the details here.

3. Supply Chain Effects at Disney World
We had a less pleasant surprise with supply chain issues that had a surprising effect on Disney World. In mid-November, we saw that a store at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was closed because it didn’t have enough stock to fill the shelves!
Looking ahead to December, it seems that supply chain problems have not yet disappeared. We have seen incorrectly branded materials even chicken tenderloins are missing as possible outcomes of the supply chain crisis.

As you can see, November was a very unexpected month. But hey, at Disney World he sure likes to keep an eye on us! As always, stay tuned to DFB so you don’t miss any of the amazing news.
