The genius of Disney recently launched at Walt Disney World, with free services to help you plan your day, as well as paid services that allow you to avoid queues for popular attractions.
It was first released at Disney World, however We now have a DATE for when Genie will launch at Disneyland Resort!
The genius of Disney will be available at Disneyland from December 8th! This is so soon !!
Genie can be accessed through the Disneyland app and will help you plan your day at Disney.
As a reminder, this includes the free Genie service, which helps you plan and offers suggestions based on your interests …
… Genie +, which gives you the option to set aside time to use Lightning Lanes (formerly FastPass lanes) to various attractions at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure per $ 20 per day, per person⁇
… And will include Selections of individual attractions, which are high-demand attractions (like Rise of the Resistance) not included in Genie + that you can pay individually to use your Lightning Lanes.
Here is a list of the attractions that will be available through Disney Genie + (and the selection of individual attractions) at Disneyland Park …
… and Disney California Adventure Park.
A few things to keep in mind. First, while Genie + is $ 20 per ticket per day, the price per trip (selections of individual attractions) will vary. Disneyland has indicated that the prices of these individual Lightning Lanes will vary $ 7 to $ 20 per ticket at launch. You can buy up to 2 payment options per trip per day.
The Disney Genie + service can be purchased from the Disneyland app after you have entered the park. After December 8, you can also choose to purchase Disney Genie + prior to your visit when you purchase a park ticket.
Regarding the selection of the return time of the first Lightning Lane, you can start making your Lightning Lane selections as soon as you enter a theme park.
Are you ready to make another Genie + selection after making your first? You will be able to make your next Lightning Lane selection after using your existing pass or having started the arrival window. Disney has shared that you will also be able to make another Lightning Lane selection if “you currently have a selection that has an arrival window more than 2 hours from the time the selection was made.”
For the selection of individual attractions, you can buy and make these selections by entering the theme park.
When it comes to the Disability Access Service (which is different from Genie +), Eligible guests visiting Disneyland theme parks beginning December 20, 2021 will be able to pre-register with DAS Advance virtually with a Cast Member. Guests can pre-register 30 days prior to travel and at least 2 days prior to arrival. We look forward to more updates on DAS and Genie.
